  1. Ready to call it. Hard to see it all “coming together” for this team.
  2. That's the name of the White Sox hitting coach
  3. I agree completely. It seems like he is saying the right things, but clearly the message is not getting through to the players. It's the most obvious move they can make at this point
  4. I just don't see how Frank lasts another 10 games.
  5. Thing is, and I still believe this.....It just doesn't make sense for them to blow everything up. Not with the way the division is in 2022, the Sox farm system, and the way the current "core" is structured from a contract perspective. They basically have to go down with the ship, or somehow figure it out with the core that is in place.
  6. Seriously, the first 10 days of June are going to be UGLY
  7. Cast seems a little too bloated, just too many sub plots, but I do like horror direction they are going.
  8. Cubs - Sox on a Saturday night in May and I won’t be watching a second. Sitting on the couch about to watch an episode of Stranger Things. Such a sad state of affairs.
  9. Agree with everything you said, I’ve really liked listening to Dylan when he’s interviewed, been fun to see the maturation process.
  10. I just based it off his Twitter follow list. Seems to be on that side of the fence. (Which whatever, pitch well and don’t be a total scumbag, you’re OK in my book)
  11. Very possible. Pollock was a total shot in the dark.
  12. My guess is Cease and Pollock
  13. But they still might pick up the option!!!!!! Lol
  14. I mean, what else are we supposed to do? If I was a fan of them acquiring Kimbrel, but then it doesn't work out and he's awful.......it was a bad move. I can still understand the process behind it, but I expect the GM of the team I root for to be smarter than me. I'll put it another way. If Rick Hahn makes 10 moves, and I like 8 of them, great. But if those 8 moves that I liked end up not working for the Sox...that probably means the team doesn't have a good record, and I probably no longer want Rick Hahn as the GM of my team. He doesn't get a pass for building a flawed team because I was excited about a move at the time.
  15. Not sure I understand the point of this thread. What are you trying to accomplish or hoping to prove here? I think you believe you're defending Hahn and the job he's done, but in reality you're saying any fan could have done the job he's done. Furthermore, what do you expect fans to be doing right now? We were told, by the man you're defending, that this was a World Series or bust season. The time is now. This is the window. The Sox are 22-22 and have one of the worst run differentials in baseball. What should the fans be saying, @vilehoopster?
  16. Come on, man. I give this organization heaps of shit, but he’s got the highest ERA in the majors. Basically, Dallas is a FA at the end of the year but the Sox have a choice if they want to keep him 1 more year. You really think they have any interest in running it back with him, especially at 20 mil? That option was NEVER going to be picked up.
  17. I ask again, why would we believe they would get it right by “starting over?”
  18. Even if there isn’t, the whole idea of “re-tooling” or “rebuilding” is dumb. So the same guys just get another 5-6 years at this thing? Why will it be any different. There is talent on this roster and the ALC is awful. This team is incredibly flawed and I have huge issues with the organization, but they aren’t going to have a better opportunity to win these next two years over the next decade, IMO. They went all-in with this roster, they need to see it though.
  19. This premise makes very little sense from a baseball standpoint. He’s signed for the next 2 1/2 years. That’s a long time. 2 1/2 years ago, Ivan Nova lead the Sox in innings pitched. He’s also playing at the absolute highest level he’s ever played at. I could not think of a worst time to sit down at the table with him and his agent. There is zero reason, other than sentiment, for the Sox to engage in extension talks with Anderson right now. See how the next few seasons go. Who knows what the makeup of the team looks like in a few years. If this all goes to shit, I wouldn’t want a 32 year SS locked up for 6/7 more years. If things are going well in two years….you have the discussion. But generally speaking, giving a long term deal for an ultra-athletic player during his age 33-37 seasons seems like a bad idea. You’re paying for past production, not what you believe he will do during those future years.
  20. I can’t believe we are still doing “Skin color doesn’t matter” in 2022.
  21. Just want to say thanks for taking the time to share this the board. 👍
  22. Don’t care what his skin tone is, anytime you take the side of Jason Whitlock, you’re on the side I don’t want to be on. He’s proven that time and time again.
