Non-Tender Day
He’s cheap and has good stuff.

Non-Tender Day
I just don’t understand what they have against him. There must be something going on behind the scenes with him because I feel he is more talented and has more upside than either Fletcher or DeLoach.

Crochet open to extension...
Not saying they made the right choices but the rotation wasn’t even the issue this past season. They just couldn’t hit. They could have had a rotation of 5 Randy Johnson’s and still wouldn’t have been good because they can’t hit at all.

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
I was thinking La Russa 3.0 or Mike Matheny.

Who are the candidates to take over the position full time then? I saw Morosi say Gibbons and Fetter. Obviously Schumaker. Anyone else in contention?

Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
Am I the only one who doesn’t hate this? I thought it felt light too. But Vargas is essentially a top 100 prospect. I would have taken him for Fedde all day long when they initially signed him. Kopech and Pham don’t have a ton of value to me so I guess I can live with two lotto tickets for them. I would have liked another prospect or two but I don’t think like this is as bad as everyone else is saying.

Dodgers interested in Robert, Crochet, Pham
He has like 2 years of control left. Why would he serve any purpose to the Sox?

7/20 Games!
Nastrini has to be the most disappointing prospect of the year so far. Dude just sucks now.

What can we dream on for Fedde?
What does any of this have to do with the return in an Erick Fedde trade

Kopech to the Bullpen
This is basically the same thing the Sox did with ReyLo a few years ago. He wasn’t cutting it as a starter, and then improved a lot out of the bullpen. Hopefully Kopech will be the same way so they can trade him for something.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Why not Foscue?

Cease To Padres per Passan
They need help everywhere.

Yep. The only teams with actual 40 man crunches are teams like the Braves and Dodgers. Not the bottom feeding White Sox.

I’m not even really referring to those guys. I’m more so referring the Tanner Banks, Sammy Peralta, Jesse Scholtens types. No one is going to be that devastated if those guys get claimed.
-

And that’s fine. The White Sox still do not have a real crunch at the 40-man at the moment. They just don’t.
-
ST Thread
It’s very easy to navigate right now. The Sox have tons of guys they could cut who would likely clear waivers and in the event that they don’t, it’s not some devastating loss. They should absolutely be using this time to upgrade the 40-man when possible.
-
ST Thread
No they don’t. A real 40-man crunch implies they would lose someone of significance. This roster is trash and there are at least 10 guys they could cut today and very few people would care.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I’d be happy with that package I think.
-
Cease To Padres per Passan
Then who would they trade? It seems like everyone of significance is “off limits”

This might be the first good post you’ve ever had on this forum.

Cease To Padres per Passan
What, what? The pitching prospect the Mariners traded is not anywhere near the best.

His scouting report didn’t seem that encouraging but now that he’s a Twin he will hit 30 homers and drive in 100 every year.
