Except Lopez was never that good of a starter whereas Syndergaard was for multiple years. I think Reynaldo has good value based off the season he just had but comparing him to Syndergaard is apples to oranges.

Word on the street is that they are planning on signing Brandon Nimmo’s brother in law and best friend.

It would never happen but imagine if they traded TA for a haul and then signed one of the free agent SS to replace him. Must be nice to root for a team that actually would make moves like that.

Andrew Benintendi is another guy who I think might be an option. Left handed, is familiar with the division, shouldn’t be too costly, etc. And the Sox have liked him in the past. Pretty sure he would’ve been the pick in that draft in Boston didn’t take him ahead of the Sox.

Fair. At this point I’m open to pretty much any option as there is no way they could pick anyone worse than what we just had.

Serious question, would Ron Washington be that bad of a pick? I know he is on the older side as well but he has been coaching all this time. They also give him credit for improving Marcus Semien’s defense so maybe he could come in here and preach the fundamentals.

I’m assuming the new manager will be able to bring in his own coaches which is also a key aspect of this. Then again it’s the Sox we’re talking about so who knows.
