  1. What does this mean for a future White Sox stadium there.? There talking apartments around there and other things.
  2. Just curious, where do you think a new stadium in the Hillside/Oakbrook would be? I don't think there is any vacant land there to build a stadium.
  3. I've often wondered what Southwest suburb would be good for a White Sox stadium. I live in that area and there are alot of White Sox fans out here. If they built a stadium in Arlington Heights you would be moving the team away from their fan base. At one time Rosemont seemed to be interested in building a stadium for the White Sox. That also would be away from their fan base.
  4. How could you improve the park? The only thing wrong with the park is the upper deck. You can't fix the dreaded upper deck. It would make more sense to build a new stadium.
  5. i hope you're right about an announcement for the new stadium in the next few months. I will feel alot better about this situation if there was announcement coming soon. I don't see any other options for a new stadium except the South Loop. Where else would a stadium be built?
  6. I'm just worried about the team moving out of state. After paying $2 billion for the team and paying another $1billion for a new stadium is rather expensive. If some other city offers the new owner a sweetheart deal he might be tempted to take the deal. I just wish that something is announced one way or another about a new stadium or staying where they're at now.
  7. Arlington Heights wants the new Bears stadium. The businesses there want the new stadium there in the worse way. Its going to happen.
  8. The Bears are going to get their new stadium in Arlington Heights. They might as well pass the bills as soon as possible. Then we can focus on getting a new White Sox stadium in the South Loop.

All I can say is The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  10. Alot of White Sox fans drive in from the suburbs. They're not going to take the CTA to get to the rate.
  11. 1) This team reminds me of the 1989 team. After the All Star break in 1989 the team with its young players started playing better baseball the second half. The present TV announcers keep saying that this is a different team than earlier in the season. They're right. Looks to me that brighter days are coming. 2026 could be a real good season. 2) These people who design the City Connect jerseys baffle me. The present White Sox City Connect jersey looks like a Chicago Bulls jersey. The present Cubs City Connect jersey looks like the old Monreal Expos jersey. And the Tigers City Connect (worn tonight) is just out and out ugly. I wonder if anybody is buying these City Connect jerseys. 4) I haven't heard anything so I'm assuming there is not going to be a Soxfest this year.
  12. It seems like Teel and Quero will alternate between DH and catcher in 2026. With Mead, Vargas and Sosa it seems to me that one of them will be traded this off season. I don't think all 3 will be on the team next year.
  13. If the team remains at their present stadium I would hope the new owners would make every seat in the upper deck one low price. $15.00 for any seat in the upper deck sounds right to me. I'm told the Giants sell their upper deck tickets for most games at $19.00.
  14. In 2012 they didn't draw 2 million fans after being in first place much of the season. They did a marketing research and and it showed how expensive it was to come to a White Sox game. They were charging Wrigley Field prices. Since then they have lowered the prices on alot of things. They have family Sundays, discounted food on Tuesdays. They've made it more affordable for the average person. You won't go broke going to a White Sox game like you do at Wrigley Field. In 2022 the White Sox drew over 2 million fans with a team that won only 81 games. There never going to draw like the Cubs do, but they will draw decently with a winning team.
  15. I would be surprised if they stayed at the present site. You can't fix the miserable upper deck that everybody has hated from year one. Not too many businesses are going to move into the parking lots. The area is not a popular location in the city. Besides, those parking lots are a real money maker for the owner. In addition most fans like the parking lots. Where else would you park?
  16. I can't help but wonder if the front office will try to sign Colson to a long term contract.
  17. I'm wondering if they have any intentions of offering him any type of long term contract.
  18. The only thing to be done with Sosa is to trade him in the off season. He should bring back something decent in return.
  19. Vargas has said a number of times he wants to play 3rd base full time. If he would have played 3rd base tonight he would not have gotten hurt. I hope he's not out of action for any amount of time. I remember in 1973 Dick Allen got hurt on the same type of play and was out the rest of the season.
  20. I can't help but wonder, my gut reaction is Robert's option won't be picked up. The saved money will not be spent on any free agents and you could have a team payroll in the $40-$50 million range in 2026.
  21. I've been to a couple games this year where they announced attendance that didn't appear accurate to me. Seemed like there were more fans than what was announced.
  22. Its more fun to win but still I like going to the games. They do a good job with their entertainment at the ballpark. The food, parking and low ticket prices are all great.
  23. I don't know how anybody can criticize White Sox attendance. They are going to draw 1.4 million this year. Not bad considering everything.
  24. Perez has said he thinks the team will be alot better next year. He has indicated to the front office he wants to come back next year. It will be curious to see if he is resigned.
  25. A good solution would be put another NFL team in Chicago. Have the team play at Soldier Field and have the team play in the AFC conference.
