  1. Don't get your hopes up. The Tigers are not the Angels.
  2. Yes, I recall thinking the rebuild was working, and the Sox would be contenders for a long time. It is amazing what has happened to these players.
  3. It is weird to boo a win. But it might be good for the team to realize how angry the fans are. I know it is impossible, but I want the team to win out the schedule and not set a new and dubious record. But the trouble is that lineup is not a major league lineup. Now, that's a reason to boo.
  4. The wrong kind of history. Gee, I am so glad Nicky Lopez is leading off. What a lineup.
  5. Even if the Sox helped to keep Detroit out of the playoffs, it does nothing to redeem this pathetic season.
  6. I remember in 2015 for the 10th anniversary, hardly anyone showed up at SoxFest. Ozzie Guillen made sure he wasn't even in the country at the time. But no Konerko, no Buehrle, no AJ. I have been writing a book on the 2005 team. No one from the team would agree to an interview. Not KW or Hawk either.
  7. It is also a review of truly bad 2024 was and continues to be. Wow, that was bad.
  8. I don't know if they are proud, but they sure are in denial. That's why 2025, the 20th anniversary of the only World Series win in over 100 years, will be more of the same.
  9. I wonder how fans will react when the Sox return for their final three home games.
  10. I wonder if Jerry embraces it while, at the same time, he embraces the idea of a new stadium.
  11. This is such a weird feeling. Never experienced anything like it in my many years as a fan. It is sad.
  12. Yes, but for me, 2024 was the first time in over 40 years that I didn't attend one White Sox game. And for the past over 60 years, I was always at the two ballparks. But I see no reason to attend a game now. And there are many royal fans like me who are sick of this nonsense. They don't need to win for me to go back. Just show some life, and I see no life in this organization. Denial big time. Life, not so much.
  13. One would think something dramatic would happen because I can't see how the FO can run out another 100-loss team next season. But we're talking about Jerry Reinsdorf here. His wife wanted him to sell and he ignored her. He wants that new stadium, and he will continue to work for that even as the team loses big time.
  14. Seeing that they already have tied the American League is jarring. This season will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
  15. Future? What future? Wins? They had a three-game winning streak. There are no more wins. Development. Now that's a good one.
  16. To go along with this guy, you have the fan-hating Steve Stone who would rather be somewhere else. It is unbelievable how Sox can't do anything right. Bennitti had his faults but he was never this bad. This situation just symbolizes how horrible this season has been and how there is so little hope for the future. Rebuild? Rebuild? What rebuild?
  17. Schriffen will never get a clue. He is more reason not to watch the Sox on TV.
  18. Hahn had plenty of time to build a consistent winner. The rebuild began because the team had no direction. He should have been fired long before.
  19. Ozzie is the type of person who wears out his welcome. By 2011, he had done that. But don't worry. The Sox will get a new stadium. They won't have a team to put in it, but they will have a new stadium. Maybe they will finally re-hire Ozzie, and he can manage a 100-loss team.
  20. The Sox have won 100 games one time in 125 years. Right now, I'd like to see them get to 50, Regardless, the FO needs to do something to attract fans, not that they care.
  21. JR wanted no part of signing Ohtani. So, Dodger fans get to watch the guy smash records, and we get to see the wrong record set. JR refuses to see that he is not doing anything to hold the line on salaries. No, he doesn't want to win that badly.
  22. Don't have access to The Athletic. But I have heard several JR apologists say that he wants to win badly but he wants to do it his way. 2005 is approaching 20 years. Doing things his way hasn't worked too well. You would think you would change something if your team has won three post season games in almost 20 years. When does it occur to someone that things aren't working too well? If it was me, I couldn't sit in the owner's suite and watch this nonsense. The fans won't sit out in the bleachers to watch it.
  23. I have no grudge against Hahn, but I don't feel the need the apologize for anything. He was given enough freedom to do things. He didn't. Right now he looks better by comparison. The franchise is heading south.
  24. JR doesn't want to put money up for players or a new stadium. So, the team can continue to stink, and hopefully the stadium never happens. He shouldn't get this windfall when his team will set the record for the worst record in MLB history. Too bad he won't end up in jail with Trump.
  25. I don't envy Sizemore. What can anyone say about this team other than it is the worst in major league history? Struggled to get a bit hit? They've got about one or two all season.
