Avi Garcia won't cost a thing but a few dollars. The thing I see on this board most are clowns who say average players are terrible. Avi is a league average right fielder. He also won't cost you prospects or Major league talent. Give him 1 year with an option and then focus on pitching. Cole Hamels and Zach Wheeler would make us an above average team to start next year.

Vaughn already is a solid defensive 1B. He'll be the starter there by 2021. Give Collins 60-70 starts at 1B in 2020. See if he can play there as a solid back up. An awful lot of things will have to go right to compete in 2020. 2021 we could be a World Series contender.

As for the original question. I'd take Strasberg. But this being the White Sox, I'd settle for Zack Wheeler.

He would be a big improvement over what we have now. With Eloy and Robert handling the other 2 spots, we wouldn't have any more black holes in the outfield. The fact that he'll be relatively cheap compared to other OF's leaves more $ to spend on Pitching.

Too early I think. Next September is my guess for White Sox superiority. With 1 full years experience for Cease,Kopech Madrigal,Robert and Collins. Sox could be dominant for 5-10 years. Although we will never be as popular as the Cubs, a world series win will more than make up for it. One more thing. I've always kind of liked being the runt of the litter, so to speak. It makes winning a little sweeter.
