Bonds not on steroids almost broke the game. Hey, I don't blast you like some others, but I think you're wrong on Madrigal and Vaughn. Yes, the Sox took more advanced college players with those picks. That doesn't mean there were better players still on the board. Every draft is different and last years draft was pretty thin. Getting Vaughn was just fine. Getting Madrigal at 5 is a steal.

I always liked the Gary Redus era uniforms.

I've read that 2020 draft is very deep. Will probably get a good prospect even at 13. Might be the time for a high school pick.

I agree. Spend some money for more pitching. All I was saying is don't expect the moon and stars immediately from Robert and Madrigal. There will be an adjustment period.

I'm almost as excited about Madrigal. The guy played better at 3A than A. The last 6 weeks or so , he really started working counts and drawing walks. I'm sure 2020 will be a learning curve for both players, but 2021 looks very promising. Throw in the defensive and base running upgrades, then stand back and enjoy.

Just about ready to write him off as a capitol loss. 2 years of lost development has got to be tough to overcome.

the guy was hurt in spring training. Got a 2 week look and was sent packing. It really doesn't matter. we aren't good enough yet any way. but it seemed a little harsh. He did just fine last year.

Sox should release Yolmer and have Leury start the year at second. Spend what it takes to get the best 2 year solution in RF. Skip Grandal and spend the rest on Pitching.

Sox aren't f***ing around this year. If they all kick ass, the Sox have more valuable trade chips or building blocks. If they stink it up, Hahn will probably be fired.

2020 McCann and Collins. Give Collins 40 games at catcher and 70-80 games at DH/1B. Lets find out if he can play MLB. 2020 is a potential wild card year. 2021 is a potential world series year. Its better to find out next year if he's gonna make it.

Marco G. has pitched solidly for 2 years now, but in a smaller pack his home rum rate might double. If that were the case, he would have trouble just staying in the rotation. Remember he gives up more hits than innings pitched. Add a few taters to that and it could spell disaster.

The only caveat is 2017 is 3 years before 2020. He has been a stud for 5 years though.

I wonder if JDM would have Abreu like numbers if he left Fenway. That place is a hitters paradise.
