Ouch. Sometimes the truth hurts.

2025 MLB Draft
Don't be shocked if the Sox get a good player at 10. They do better there than when they pick higher. Crochet, Sale and Big Frank were all picked later.

Benintendi out 4-6 weeks with right hand fracture
I honestly think AB is cursed with the Sox. If traded, he'll revert to normal. The worst part is that he's a good guy in a "Twilight Zone" episode.

2025 Things to be Excited About List
Grant Taylor. And about 5 other minor league pitchers. Peyton Pallette among them. So much for the one player thing.

What would you want from Boston to swap Benintendi for Masataka Yoshida?
Yoshida has been better, but he's older and had the advantage of playing in Boston. Beni had to play for The worst team with the worst manager ever. He was also coming back from a broken wrist which sapped his power. I didn't look up their stats after AB returned from injury last June, but he was very solid after that.

White Sox Top 10 Prospects (BA)
The Sox have 3 pitchers with legitimate #1 starter stuff. How many teams can say that? If you guessed none you're right. It's the only bright spot in the organization. If all are pitching well in June, Getz could trade one for 3-4 legit prospects and diversify their portfolio. Aces only come around once in a blue moon. Injuries happen all the time.

Sox Sign Joey Gallo to minor league deal, NRI
this thread doesn't deserve 7 pages. honestly , it doesn't deserve 7 responses.

If Cubs don't make playoffs, Counsell gets fired.

Six White Sox crack ESPN's top 100 list
How close was Grant Taylor to making the list? He was in the running for #1 overall pick before arm surgery. Sox rolled the dice in early 2nd round and may have hit a grand slam. Was dominant after his return before a lat injury(Maybe caused by rust from layoff). He, Schultz and Smith are the future for us. Realistically, if two of these guys just don't get hurt, 2026-27 could be very different than today.

White Sox projected at a $67.1 million OD payroll, 29th in all of MLB
Truth be told, The Sox team with this group of players is actually being overpaid as a group. They are probably worth 57.2 million. And that's in baseball dollars. In uber driver money it's about $75.

White Sox Top 10 Prospects (BA)
If Quero remains healthy, he'll hit better than 95% of all catchers. His defense isn't a sure thing yet either. Still, not making the list is silly. He could move to another position and still be very valuable. Hit for average and solid power with a ton of walks plays just about anywhere.

Anthony Santander signs with TOR 5/$92.5
Hits homers off bad pitchers. Probably won't help if they reach the playoffs.
-
Sox Sign RHP Jonathan Heasley to minor league deal/NRI
I do too. It's called not buying tickets from the White Sox until 2026 at the earliest.

White Sox ZiPS Projections
Noticed Peyton Pallette and Adler missing from bullpen estimate. I think they'll both be up by the All Star break . Maybe the pen will end up at zero. Could bump us up to 58 wins. That's the good news I guess.

Could Getz Have an Actual Master Plan?
Getz is too dense to have a real plan. I will give him credit for one thing. He appears to have figured out that more baserunners equals more runs scored. He's now trading for guys who will take a walk. Say what you will, but Ken williams and Rick hahn never could grasp that in over 20 years with the Sox. That one single fact makes him an improvement. The true test though is being able to tell the difference between athetes and actual baseball players.

Orioles add Kittredge to high leverage corps
when the Sox sign a guy like this, he ends up straning his groin walking in from the bullpen.....on opening day.

Mlb.com poll has Sox with 4th best farm
we're 4th after trading everyone. any other team could do the same. the trick is to draft and develope good players. that way you don't go 41-121. my january cynicism is starting to boil up to the top.

Amaya. He gone. UPDATE: He back.
He was solid in the field. Still, you have to hit something. Seemed like a decent guy. Good luck in the future.

White Sox sign LHP Martin Pérez
Perez' best attribute has always been his health. league average healthy pitcher is easily worth 5 million. He'll probably feel a little queasy many times this summer though.

Sox Acquire Tyler Gilbert for Aaron Combs, DFA Braden Shewmake
probably could have waited for 2 bad outings in spring training to get these 2 junkball lefties free. aaron combs might end up being useful. sad part is if i know this our GM should too.

White Sox are interested in RHP Jakob Junis
I long for the day when we acquire players to help us win. Getting guys in hope of flipping them at the trade deadline for a prospect is kinda like drinking Miller 64.

Crochet Traded to Boston
that makes you the smartest poster on Soxtalk by a mile.

Vargas and Fletcher have to play . . . be given every chance to succeed . . . Right?
I'd much rather play Bryan Ramos than Vargas at 3rd. Before he strained his stomach muscle, BR looked like a MLB player. Unfortunately that type of injury takes a while to get over. The last month of the season he was back to doing what he always has in the past. He's solid at 3b, is athletic and can hit. He's also 2 1/2 years younger than Vargas. Let MV fight it out with AV for 1B and DH. Hell, try him in LF against lefties. Just leave Ramos at 3rd. He is the closest thing we have to a MLB ready prospect.
