RIP Daniel Webb

Wow. Dude had lost his mother a few years back. Had a great arm just never could put it together. Gone too soon

I remember seeing him throw heat in A ball, what a shame

Holy s***.

Rest in peace Daniel, rest in peace.

:crying

2 month old baby. Tragic.

Daniel Webb.... wasn't that Jason Bourne's "real" name?

Regardless, RIP Daniel.

Terribly sad. Rest in peace

Close. David Webb

Man, that's awful to hear, though.

Terrible

Crazy. I had just been talking to a friend about how I'd like the Sox to give him another shot—he had a ton of talent and seemed to have struggled a bit after his mother's death before the eventual elbow issue.

Same. Loved his arm in the minors. Sad to hear about this.

Rip

Was he still in Sox organization? Doesn't look like he pitched in 2017. Thought he would be a closer for the sox at some point.

Very saddened by this. R.I.P.

Very sad to hear about this. RIP Daniel Webb. Best wishes to his friends and family.

Wow. RIP.

Read this on CNN this morning and was saddened to know it was someone I remember playing for my favorite team. Rest in peace Daniel Webb.

Wow...awful. RIP. Prayers and thoughts to his family & friends.

Always sorry to hear of an athlete dying early. I hope he didn't bring this on him self by speeding or reckless driving of the ATV.

Actually saw him get lit up in '12 with KAN, dude threw absolute heat however and the following year he dominated and made the Sox by September and actually saw the Sox the series he was called up in NY ironically

This kills me, what a tradgedy

I too believe he was coming back to the MLB this Spring as I know he's been rehabbing for a few months already at his old HS

Not sure why CWS ever let him go, young reliever with upside and even closer potential, wouldn't his rehab go smoother if he had a team to rehab under? Always thought that was odd

It's always sorry to hear about anyone dying early.

ATVs and snowmobiles can be such bad news.

Best wishes to his family.

Especially with young men. Kid I knew growing up left himself paralyzed going too fast on a ATV and flipping with it landing on him.

RIP Daniel, just awful to die so young and leaving a family behind.
