In that scenario, Cutch would play CF. I couldn't think of a better mid-range option (Pollock isn't mid-range). If we sign Bryce, I'd be surprised if we then give Engel 100+ games in center next year.

Dear god no to Mccutchen in CF.  He’s Carl Everett-esque out there now.  Give me Billy Hamilton instead, especially if the corners are Eloy and Harper.

What about Michael Taylor from the Nationals?  If Soto/Robles/Eaton is the OF, then he could be available.  If not Taylor, then perhaps Rusney Castillo from Boston who can't get playing time with a stacked OF.  I'd look into those two until one of Robert/Basabe are ready to go.

I’m a fan of Taylor and that’s a great suggestion. Only issue is I can’t see Nats making moves with their outfield until they know what Bryce does.

I’m going with a pen arm. Familia.

I’d be pretty pissed if we let go of Avi to sign Nick Markakis.  It would basically be the equivalent of giving 200 more innings to James Shields.

I know I made my guess already but I also like the utility types and /or bounce backs guys like Schoop, Wilmer Flores, Derek Dietrich, Marwin Gonzales. All have some pop and versatility. Most can play 3rd or 2nd and some OF. Guys like this can be stop gaps or allow Moncada to switch positions to either 3rd base or CF.

If you are not looking for permanent solutions yet you can really mix and match these guys at a lot of positions.  However I don't think Flores and Dietrich are the greatest infielders. Dietrich also plays OF as does Marwin Gonzales.
