This team is such a disgrace. I don’t know why I get my hopes up about anything anymore.

  • Honestly curious - do you think people think this type of stuff (posting in every thread at once) and the poop bit are funny?

  • we just saw two of the most expensive rotations in baseball squaring off in the World Series but yes spending on pitching is a terrible idea.

Wheeler signs with Phillies. On to the next one.

Can’t wait to sign Dallas K and hear how he’s the next Buehrle

If it's 6/125 I won't attack the front office.

One thing is for certain: posters here need to stop acting like they know what other teams can and cannot afford.

Don't have to worry about that...

Embarrassing if this is between 100-110. Laughable really.

Gotta agree with this. If Sox balked at a bump above that price, then they really suck. Hot take or not, this was the guy they zoned in on.

My guess is that the Sox offered a similar deal and Wheeler wanted to stay on the East Coast. Not much they can do when location is a consideration, and you're undesirable.

It’s a 5 year deal

And need to stop acting like the Sox have a new owner

Yeah, say what you want about what he's really worth the Sox allowed the sentiment to be that they were in hot and heavy pursuit. Rule of thumb, if there's smoke there will never ever be fire for the White Sox.

Well, I think we can at least make a pact to take reports of other teams interested in our targets seriously. So tired of the " this is just to run up the sox price, any day now" Stuff

You could offer more money.

It's embarrassing Jack.

It didn't get to 6 years. It's not at 120 million it doesn't look like. Sox swing and whiff in embarrassing fashion again.

So now what? Ryu/Castellanos?

No fucking shit. Getting really tired of this garbage.

Players want to play for the White Sox

Take it easy boyz, Zack's ERA was almost 4.oo last season.

We couldn't sign this dude for 5 years and 110? Unbelievable.

Whose going to tell him?

Maybe he just preferred to stay on the east coast.

Im going to wait until hearing what the background with this is.

We shall see.

My guess is it's 5/110 and in order to pull it off, they would have had to go 6/130. I can't blame them for that. I really can't.

Looking like 5/115

I would guess they didn't want to go 5 years. Wasn't there a reports that said the Sox wanted to do shorter term deals?

Guys, don't worry. This contract agreement was obviously fabricated by his agents to up the Sox bid. He's ours any day now.
