For the right price. Collins is getting 0 playing time and would be a good piece to dangle. Not sure what his value is though.

No way. Has to be really cheap. More games PPD today. I'm still not convinced this season finishes.

The way starters are dropping like flies, I think teams will hold on tighter.

Let me clarify. The bad teams who don't care and want a high draft pick will be handing guys away. Especially guys that cost money. 

Collins is going to be the primary backup C next year, and has some value traits (LHH, power, OBP) I wouldn't trade him.

Really depends on how much control they have left. Rental for this year, you're probably right. A guy with at least another year of control, those teams that are tanking would likely rather hold on and try to trade next year, especially if the offers are fringey guys.

It's going to be awfully hard to use this years results to set the draft order.  I think they end up using last years order again.

If they can play a full season, it will be really hard to say it was good enough to crown a champion, but not a 1st pick.

Johnny Cueto comes to mind. The Sox could probably get him for next to nothing and he has experience pitching in big games.

The regular season doesn't determine the champion though. And they added more playoff teams to ensure they get it right (and make more money). So a change to the draft could make sense if they wanted to do it that way. 

I'm listening to the Score web stream right now, how does Dan Bernstein have this time slot?  He's beyond boring.  Jesus.

The Score is terrible in every time slot. I used to like listening to grobstein but he has the same five idiot callers every night. He’s starting to be forgetful as well.

mulligan and haugh are pretty good and that’s it.

He is more tolerable now to me than before, but he is still not someone I listen to.
