Realistic trade candidates AKA The Lynnsanity Thread

If the Sox are willing to give up on Mazara, Gallo would be a very interesting player to consider.

  • All of the sudden we’re good and people want to give away long term great players for mediocre short term help.    please no

  • Cool, Mazara for Clevinger.    submit trade

I'd actually consider Dunning and Stiever as centerpieces if they're getting both Lynn and Gallo if Gallo has 3 years left after this one. He does, right?

Sign me up for Lynn and Gallo if that's a realistic possibility.

Now this is an interesting development.  This certainly would take care of the Mazara issues we're having.

I think Gallo and Lynn would cost more than people think, but I'd love it

A packaged deal and I would definitely be willing to throw in a couple prospects

Omg yes. Kopech and much more I’m sure

My complete guess would be Kopech + Stiever + Adolfo + one of Thompson/Dalquist/Kelley for Lynn and Gallo. And I'm probably in the minority, but I'd do it. Gallo (and eventually Vaughn) would complete this offense

I already didn't want to trade Dunning, and him cruising through 4 innings so far is just enforcing that ? He seems ready to take a spot in our rotation now.

Sox don't need another 200 hitter with power. They have plenty of power. Gallo has peaked and enough of the 3 outcome player. Not worth the trading cost.

Yeah I don't really want Gallo. If you can get Lynn for Stiever +, then fine.

I think we’d have to give up a better second piece than Stiever or Kelley would have to be that 4th piece (if he can even be traded)

Yeah I was going to say that the proposed deal looked light.

Let me be on record saying that I’d rather not trade prospects for Gallo.  Use those resources for a TOR starter and then add a short-term stop-gap in RF that primarily costs money.  In this economic environment, I bet a team would be willing to ship-out an expiring contract of a pretty good RF for a marginal return.  Then go out and add Cespedes or Colas in this amateur free agent class to be the long-term answer.

Jack, you are a see-saw my friend.

It depends on Gallo's control. I have no idea what kind of season he's having either.

If they could plug their hole in RF with a LH batter that would be huge.

2 years of control remaining after this year.

He has a .339 OBP

He does, but I've seen that movie with Dunn and I don't want another ticket. Not at the prices in this thread.

Kopech is too unstable to have a substantial career. He should be available. Tough luck.

Based off what? Opting out? C'mon man.

Doesn’t involve us but would Gallo for Clevinger make sense?

After what I’ve seen from Dunning, I don’t want to see him traded.  If one of him, Kopech, or Stievers will be traded, I think Dunning needs to remain a Sox.
