Final guesses at the Trade Deadline

Featured Replies

Feel free to pile on me later, but I’m surprised there are so many that think they’ll stand pat. I think they have a Lynn deal they’re waiting on, and if it doesn’t happen, a less exciting pitcher will be added that won’t mortgage the future.

Beaking: Sox trade Timo Perez for Carl Everett and Little Foot.

  • Are you going to riot and call the front office morons for prospect hoarding in season where you could go 60-0 and lose 2 out of 3 to the 8 seed and go home?

  • Can our trade deadline acquisition be calling up Andrew Vaughn? That would be neat.

I can just see a deal almost being done, and the opposing GM says Throw in Ben Bailey, and Hahn says Okay, why not.

DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME

Stiever, collins, and rutherford for lance lynn

Part of me thinks they go big and get Woodruff as the clock strikes 3.  Part of me thinks they relent and settle for Lynn giving up too much.

Stand pat. It’s a year where they spent a lot of money in the offseason and are starting to see their assets put to work and prospects play. I can’t see them making anything big happen.

I think we get a TOR starter for less talent than we thought. No way we are finishing this year and heading into next season without 3 high quality arms with experience. Dunning is someone who can be good but he has faced the Tigers and Royals so far. Cease and Lopez may need a year or two to find their command. Kopech will need a season or two to find his way. Rodon is a non factor in the rotation moving forward with his injuries. I just think they make a deal for a starter.

If we are talking to Brewers re Hader, how about Suter instead.

Marte & Bradley for Stiever, Lopez & Rutherford.

This would get me PUMPED.  Probably too good to be true, but this is about my max offer.  I'd do Lopez instead of Stiever if they preferred that, but I doubt they would.

Stealth Bomber Kenny returns, Sox land...Scherzer.

Which is my way of saying I have no clue.

We need a RF that can actually kill right handed pitching. Im sick of RHH everywhere. Enough already

It would get you pumped and Jon Daniels fired.

Little Foot jerseys would skyrocket. Our payroll would pretty much infinite.

Also, once he fills out, our OF defense is set between Robert and Little Foot.

I have a feeling that Starling Marte will end up here and a lower tier starter like Gausmann.

2004 trade deadline was the best. There were a ton of big moves right at the end. It's when Nomar went to the Cubs. He used to live by me. I would see him walking around alone a lot. Nobody recognized him. It's also when the Sox got Contreras.

Some concern over locker room issues between Little Foot and Carl, but reports are most think Carl will just pretend Little Foot doesn't even exist.

Could have gotten Ducky also but Jerry is too cheap

I'm betting we do nothing. Dyson ends up being the lone trade deadline addition and he hits a go-ahead home run in the 14th inning of game 3 in the World Series.

My spidey sources are telling me Marte is on his way to the Marlins.

Just saw that, damnit all
