He didn't take 3rd on the Moncada drive to the wall when he would score if the ball wasn't caught no matter what - that might have cost them a run.

And also needs to be tagging on anything deep with no outs

I'm like 75% sure Anderson gets doubled off if Madrigal didn't slow him down so I'm less concerned about this one

Nick’s baseball IQ is a huge issue

It’s still not playing the proper way for him, which is something we’re seeing way too often

Scary that they are hitting our #2 pitcher like this, can imagine what they will do to whoever we throw out there tomorrow.

Posters on this board are acting like Madrigal is a veteran player. He’s a rookie in the playoffs. He's still learning and gaining experience. Relax people.

Anderson doesn't go past second if Madrigal barely goes anywhere like he should have. Madrigal is the lead runner, he guides the trail runner there. The trail runner needs to get as close to the lead runner as possible in case the ball is dropped. Anderson was only that far off because Madrigal was a moron and not playing to tag.

If Madrigal tags up at seconde, Anderson couldn’t have almost rounded second ?

I'll never understand some folks in game threads.

Took off from 1st and it looked like a Hit & Run, but he slid into 2nd w/o picking up the ball or the 3B coach.

It was almost certainly a straight steal, but still

This is baseball 101 not some advanced thing that only happens in the playoffs.  Basic elements of the fundamentals of baseball are fucking Nicky right now.

Moreso because the scouting report was that it was off the charts. I like Madrigal but there have been way too many IQ mistakes. He's a rookie so I'll cut him some slack. There has to be improvement going in to next season.

Byron Buxton just got picked off as the tying run in the 8th, soxtalk would have had a collective aneurysm

Much better inning there... would have liked to see it before it was already 4-0.

What is it about every streamin service in the world being unable to make in between innings anything other than unbearably annoying.

absolutely have to score here. Bassitt is gonna be on a very short leash this inning.

This time he didnt try to play it on his glove side.  He did what he should of done in the first place.  Two hands and funnel.  You have plenty of time to get the out.
