I would rather Rodon pitch than Giolito and I really don’t like Rodon.

*if*.  <2 days rest doesn’t seem likely.

I'd imagine Crochet is done for the playoffs, likely Eloy too.  Oh well.

I am fine with Crochet out for the playoffs if long term he doesn't need to have TJ.. Burning a year of services on another top arm would blow huge D

Eloy's foot will be fine. Especially with 4 more days of rest. Crochet may be done but hopefully it is not a disaster.

Do not like the fastball outside there after embarrassing him on the slider. Luckily hit right at Abreu.

What exactly is wrong with Eloy? Is it an ankle sprain, foot sprain, have they even said exactly what the injury is?

Assuming the Sox win today, yeah I'd think it's highly unlikely that Eloy doesn't get one more AB in October

He has a foot sprain probably. Those hurt when you use the foot.

Bruised foot, IIRC.

Come on Heuer

I think you are 1 for 2. Forearm tightness isn’t good. I bet they are checking his elbow. Eloy will be back if the Sox advance. He just wasn’t quite ready but getting better. A few days off is all he needs.

I bet Eloy's not in such bad shape as it seems.  For all we know they could have been planning to take him out if he got on base.

More worried about Crochet...was hoping for blister.

yes they do... i remember i had one and it lingered for a month... once it starts to feel better, you try and run again, it pops back up.

Speaking of free passes

Come on Heuer, need a DP ball here.

On a normal throwing program tomorrow would be Giolito's throwing day. You could convince me that he could give you an inning tomorrow, but I'd go through all the guys who are fresh before getting to that point. If he's throwing today, well it better be inning 10+.

Double play here please

Cant be easy can it?

RODON IS GETTING READY IN THE PEN

Rodon's about to get loose :(

Beautiful time for a double play here.
