RIP Hank

It is a sad day for baseball.  RIP Hank.   Thanks for some wonderful memories.

Let's celebrate the dude who could do this while facing constant death threats and racism, just because he was threatening Ruth's record (he also received an outpouring of love).

And then let's celebrate the same dude who could have fun and voice a wacky role like Hank Aaron the 24th, the worst athlete of all time, in Futurama:

Man, futurama is so damn good.

RIP to a true goat

Damn, that sucks

I shouldn’t be shocked, but I am. This sucks.

Rest in peace, Henry.

Wow.  Rest in Peace.  They truly don't get better than Hank.

I shouldn't be shocked either. 86 years is a heck of a run. We can't help but inmortalize these athletes that did incredible things. I think that's why it's surprising. RIP

RIP. I just saw him the other day getting his Covid shot. He seemed healthy.

God bless him and his family. What a legacy he left!

Please please don’t let it be from vaccine complications

Simply put, one of the greatest of all the time. During his time only Willie Mays was greater. No one else came close.

What is amazing is how consistent he was.  Dude never put up more than 47 HRs in a season.

25 time All Star.  TWENTY-FIVE TIME ALL STAR.

Haha in 23 seasons.  Before my time, and I haven't heard about it, but were there seasons with double All Star games???

Even still, he didn't make the ASG in his first and last seasons.  That's it.

I still have a 1960 Topps Hank Aaron baseball card. The legends from my younger days are sadly "passing" away.

Worth noting that 4 of those came during those weird double All-Star game seasons.

Still. An All-Star in twenty one seasons is fucking insane. He received MVP votes in 18 of those.

It's been an absolutely brutal stretch lately. RIP to the best to ever do the dang thing.

Dude also did it during one of the most brutal offensive eras in modern baseball.

It's so sad when this happens, realizing a guy that went through it all can't come on tv for an interview one last time. So nice knowing we can hear their stories.

Ladies and gentlemen, and those too young to have watched him play, Hank Aaron was and is an inner ring Hall of Famer. Still recall 714 as if it was yesterday.

Rest in Peace Hammer.
