February 2, 20215 yr I really hope Lightfoot provides some relief and allows season ticket holders back in the stands. I can't take another season of not being able to enjoy this team in person.

How pathetic that the paid propoganda hacks at MLB.com blocked an intelligent and worthy rebuttal to their rubbish. If I had an account, I'd ask Baghdad Jon why the hell he blocked an experienced Labour Attorney from responding. Here is the response from the MLBPA: Edited February 2, 20215 yr by South Side Hit Men Added the MLBPA response to the pathetic owner scheme
February 2, 20215 yr Author So if it’s CBA as is, then no DH in the NL, no 7-inning double headers, no extra inning rule with man on 2nd, and five postseason teams per league with a one game knockout between wildcard teams. Cool.
February 2, 20215 yr They need to do the NL DH. It makes no sense, it's bad for the game to have hitters that are .150 batting. It's actually stupid and archaic.
February 2, 20215 yr I owners want the DH rule too but for some reason they've attached it to expanded playoffs.
February 2, 20215 yr I don't think it was a terrible proposal, but if MLB was serious they wouldn't just be lobbing agreements over the fence and press releasing them to the public.

I hope the players see the light and come to the realization that a cap would actually be in their best interest, as they then could guarantee a floor and a 50/50 revenue split like the other leagues have. As it stands now, the luxury tax is already acting as a cap, might as well go all in or they'll continue to see their percent share of revenue dwindle.

Regardless of who is truly being more unreasonable, both parties are going to be seen as the bad guys from the fans' perspective. All we can hope is that they get to work immediately and hash out an agreement.

You need to have full disclosure of all revenues before you can discuss having legitimate and equitable "revenue splits". The esteemed labour attorney, blocked on Twitter by owner leak receptacle Jon Heyman, Eugene Freedman was on the Score to discuss relevant issues for 2021 and beyond for those interested. They could just delay a month or so and have equal input. There must be like minds out there who want some baseball. They have to sit down and talk. Maybe Rep. Large Marge could unite them.

Did you listen or read the legal reasons why the players correctly rejected this latest owner scheme, or do you just lob ad hominem attacks without any knowledge of the pertinent issues, both in 2021 and beyond?

The players can show up for camp and keep talking. The season should be delayed a month or more. We are not ready to have crowds. I don't take sides in labor disputes. It's not the fan's problem. When parents get divorced the kids don't care who's right or wrong. Your posts here speak for themselves.
February 5, 20215 yr Hmm, 2022 the Sox would have one of the best teams in the league and a labor issue would keep them from playing. Where have I heard that before? Fuck.

As suspected, with willful and proud ignorance of the situation and relevant issues. Sorry, the real world can't stick their head in the sand and pray mommy and daddy will make it all go away and give them an ice cream sundae for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. You should refrain from your own bitterness, with attacks on others pointing to resources explaining issues you have the inability and/or interest in understanding. Unlike what's reflected in your post history, there are adults here who have the ability to discuss issues beyond those of which a child can grasp.
