That game is double A quality of play by both teams. No command pitchers, terrible defense and bad at bats.

TLR miss manages the pen again.  4 games, 4 poor decisions

  • TLR fucking sucks. Send him back to the casket we dug him out of.

  • Honestly one of the most unlikeable on field players in all of baseball.  And yes, would rather have McCann than him next few years.

Moncada comes up to bat with the bases loaded, two outs, and his team down 3-0. He strikes out. Tie game.

Maddon is not good coach when it comes to pitching decision

Yerminator got a fucking HANGER and squibbed it

How long does it take to get over Covid fatigue.  Moncada is way off right now.

Yermin jammed himself there. Oh well.

What happens if AJP is coming into Ohtani standing on the plate ........ ?

Ohtani wasn’t standing on the plate. He drifted into it while jumping. Abreu had a clean plate when he started sliding, Ohtani drifted in.

Yeah probably isn't worth responding to comments like that. Lol

That's over the top, even for me.

Shades of Torii Hunter/Jamie Burke, minus the maliciousness/rivalry.

Or AJP/Michael Barrett.

Matt V has no enthusiasm now

Small thing, but I appreciate that Abreu was immediately showing concern for Ohtani. It's good having a dude like that as your leader.

I agree

asleep at the wheel.  everybody and their brother knew Ohtani had lost it.

What are you talking about? He struck your batter out. Maddon made the right call.

This is 100% on Stassi.

Listening to these ESPN dopes, you would think Ohtani has 15 ks and a perfect game going. Yet itis3-3 and he didnt make it ouf of the 5th

He struck out Moncada.

Credit to Yoan he somehow fouled off that 101 cheese to get to that wild pitch.

Just gotta hope Cishek pitches to more than 1 batter.

I love how potential covid long term symptoms are treated as a joke

lol, go back to your forum.

Gameday is still on Moncadas at bat. It has no idea what to do.

Also called to mind the Robin Ventura home plate injury back in the day...lucky he didn't have an ACL injury, his feet gave instead of stayed planted.

BTW why is Leury (the bench player) getting so much shit for his outs while Moncada (the future superstar supposedly) seemingly getting a free pass?

I'm pretty sure no one, or very few folks, are giving Moncada a pass for his start to the 2021 season. He is a disaster at the plate right now, and many have said the same.

Stassi managed to get two errors on that play...passed ball and errant throw.

Wow.

It should be a requirement that all baseball fans collect baseball cards at least as a child growing up, if for no other purpose than to illustrate how many great players have subpar to downright shitty numbers their first couple of years in the league.

I don't think Rome was built in like 2 half-seasons worth of building either.

It many times takes that kind of time.

People don't seem to know that anymore.

This is Cease's third year. He has 26 starts over the previous two. He shouldn't be a finished product by now,  no one is saying that, and I agree it is way too early to give up on him.

But it isn't too early to worry! And it is absolutely worrisome that Cease seems to be the exact same pitcher he was when he got to the MLB two years ago.

And furthermore its absolutely fair to complain in a gamethread when for the 25th time we are subjected to a Cease that is completely uncompetitive on 1 out of 3 pitches and isn't generating anywhere close to the swings and misses or weak contact that it seems his stuff should be getting.
