We are now at the point of blaming Madrigal for opponents losing their equipment

I'm sorry but Keuchel is pretty much done. He has no velocity and he has to have pin point control to have any chance at success. Hopefully we see Kopech back in the starting rotation by June.

Take care of business and get home > .500.

If Keuchel and Lynn get a decision the next two games, that will be eight different Sox pitchers with a decision. I’d prefer the dubya.

LaRussa to Vaughn this afternoon...

Dunn has a bit of a control issue.

Stone alluded to this last night, saying if the Sox stay patient Dunn will beat himself.

I'd like to see Collins get another start today.  He looked good at the plate yesterday.  Wish Moncada could cover SS for today as I'd love to get Leury out of the lineup but I just don't see that happening.

Here is how I would line em' up today:

Eaton RF, Moncada SS, Abreu 1B, Grandal C, Collins DH, Robert CF, Vaughn LF, Lamb 3B, Madrigal 2B

How I think TLR will line them up:

Madrigal 2B, Eaton RF, Abreu 1B, Moncada 3B, Grandal C,  Robert CF, Collins DH, Vaugh LF, Leury SS

I bet (agrily) Vaughn will be out again..  I have this horrible feeling they are going to play him 2 sit him 1 all year.. In which case, why is he up?

I guess if they're looking to get Lamb a start in LF wouldn't be a horrible day for it.  If Lamb isn't going to occasionally cover LF, and I don't see what purpose he serves on this roster.  5 games in and he's yet to be used when its abundantly obvious we need another middle infielder.

Today is going to be coldest weather Sox will see all year I'd guess.  Won't be more than 46 or so at game time.

Until October you mean ?

I have a feeling he will be in there today as well. Maybe at 3B with Moncada DH?

I would like that arrangement but I would be surprised to see it. I also don’t want to sit Mercedes yet, however.

either way, I’m glad this game will conclude before I go to sleep

Lamb should be cut after this game though

The real question is will Liam ever pitch again if we don’t run into another save situation?  Let’s be up four plus heading into the 9th in all future games and find out!

Perfect for Collins, Yoan, and Grandal then lol

I don't think the front office handed him an MLB deal to be cut 2 series in without an appearance.

Maybe not but he was insurance if we didn't have a DH. We have seemingly found options so hes useless. Mendick would be a lot more important on this roster right now. 0 abs 6 games in is very telling.

Yeah pretty dumb he's only pitched in one game so far.

He should definitely pitch tomorrow regardless of what situation the game is in.

Well, Keuchel didn't look particularly great against the Halos, but that was first time out and their lineup is pretty good. Let's hope for better results against a much weaker lineup.

Danny Mendick time!

We talk about how little depth we have enough but it's even more glaringly apparent when we put up a getaway-day lineup featuring Jake Lamb, Billy Hamilton, and Danny Mendick.
