Not really that’s how you get base hits

Fine. Now matter what anyone says on this board. there is always someone to tell them they're wrong. Either way,  sox left runners on again.  And give up runs in the bottom of the inning.  It so annoying.  I know only the 3rd inning.  Just saying.

Connor McKnight is on the PBP with DJ.

DJ and Conner McKnight

The "Eck is doing color on Boston feed. Big Tony LaRussa guy. Said he was great to pitch for. FYI--Eck coined the term "Walk-Off"

It’s almost like he isn’t facing the hottest lineup in the league right now. Cease isn’t perfect today but give the Red Sox a LITTLE credit, Jesus.

Still walking too many and not missing enough bats

Encouraging that we should get to the Boston bullpen early with the next 2 days of games...but damn cannot leave so many guys on base...gotta score when you can at Fenway if you wanna win.

It's really too bad that Hahn couldn't pry Meadows and Glasnow from Pittsburgh for Quintana in 2016-17.

Nice 1,2,3 inning incoming.

Seems like when the Sox hit it hard, someone catches it. When the other team hits little bloopers, it's right where no one is. Damn near every series so far.

That's mostly luck, but I think TLR completely dialing all of the Sox shifts way back has something to do with it.

What happened to the Cy Cease talk? He looks pretty much the same.

I like the look of this guy's ERA...too bad he will only finish this inning

Yeah, and I think it'll stabilize on our side at least, but the bit about TLR refusing to shift is concerning.

1-2-3 with no answer

Why does stone say Dylan doesn't have a good feel for the fastball yet?  When has he ever? Serious question.

Cease just gets into his own head too much. His outing would look alot better if that strikeout he didn't get (and the ump did miss that call) didn't cause the big inning and have him throw more pitches. Once (or if) he breaks out of that, he'll be fine.

You were saying?

:)

Whatever Katz told him in the dugout about his mechanics, he looked waaaay better that inning. That is what Cease can do.

So Cease sucks so bad he struck out 4 in a row.

Nice Bounce back inning  for sure.

Too many automatic outs in this lineup.  I’d rather see Leury in left field.
