Not having ABs at AA is hurting him.  I like to see hitting prospects see a good amount of ABs in AA as that is where the talent in the minors really distinguishes itself.  AAA is where you will see a more polished breaking pitch.  But trying to make a jump from high A to the majors is a big hill to climb.

Well, we’ll take that cheapie.  Mendick isn’t pretty but the results are usually better more often than not.

The DH and rotation have been about the only things going well

He's a defense first backup catcher just as we all predicted!

He is a backup catcher, he gives us good defense behind the plate. Most backup catchers stink offensively. At least collins can run into one once in a while

lowkey but the Sox have had pretty good catcher defense development for a while now. Multiple times we've had catchers arrive, both from in and out of the system, and they've developed or improved a key part of their defensive game.
