If we get to the bottom of the 9th i'm gonna go with a big no on that one dawg.

I'm counting on more than a three run lead so might as well save Hendricks.  ?

We had all the boomers whining on the west coast 9pm start. Now all the zoomers whining 10am too early.

  • Even Yermin asked not to pitch to Grandal

Seemed a tad early for the position player pitching IMO.  6 runs isn't impossible with 6 outs.  Oh well.  Was entertaining at least.

They have a big game tomorrow and the next day. Conceding was the correct call.

What in the world was that effort by Garcia

Worst thing to ever happen on Patriots’ Day

This abomination is over.  Get the fuck out of Boston.

(officially) over

He stumbled, but he also looked so slow on that double earlier.

I would have taken a split in Boston if you asked on Friday before the game.  Get out there and try to get 2 in Cle.

He didn't look slow when he beat out the infield single earlier..

Are you guys really embarrassed by this?  It's saving the bullpen.  And I will say... Mercedes and Mendick have done a decent job.

look I get the intention to concede the game and not tax the pen, but why risk injury? These guys don’t know how to field the position and pitching is unnatural to them at this stage of their career. I know it’s “part of the game” or whatever but I don’t think pitching should be something that you just throw a position player into on a whim. Heuer last pitched Friday, why not throw him 1 inning? Bummer threw 1 inning this series, why not throw him?

I guess the thing that makes me mad about this is we have Rodon going tomorrow coming off of pitching a nearly perfect game, Cleveland’s offense is scuffling this season and yet we are treating this bullpen with kid gloves. Why? Rodon can go deep tomorrow. All of our starters can go deep.

Well that game sucked.

Really?

I'm going to go with pitch tipping (even if just for my own sanity).  There's not having your best stuff and then there's....that.  I know he wasn't hitting his spots, but I wouldn't be surprised if we hear Lucas say he was tipping sometime in the next couple of days.

Seems like it could have been a mechanical issue

I didn't watch the game so I can only lament the box score. What happened to Gio? It seems in modern baseball, good pitchers are capable of horrendous outings way more than in the past. Are hitters that good nowadays that pitchers are going to get hammered every once in a while?

Mark Wahlberg even thought this was a shit show.

It's got to be something anomolous (hopefully other than injury). He didn't just suddenly become a batting cage pitching machine.

well his FB was also down.. deadarm?

Maybe he hit the Boston bars too hard.

On a Sunday night...until like 11 p.m. when bars close in Boston...and I guess only at whichever bars are open during COVID lockdown...dammit
