Probably TLR prefers the better hitter directly in front of anderson. Same reason Madrigal was batting ninth

Leury should always play when it's a lefty on the mound. He can't ground out to 2nd from the right side nearly as easily.

If Hamilton is up in a big spot late in the game we need Cease taking that AB

Yeah. The few times where it seems Leury should be in the lineup are when he’s inevitably on the bench

I knew that AB last night would earn Hamilton a start. Credit to him, it was a nice AB, but I’d still prefer leury against the lefty. Oh well, let’s crush these chumps.

And better in general against lefties than righties in career. Hamilton should never start on this team.

Indians win Cubs lose. Cubs were 1 for 15 with RISP and 15 LOB.

I hate being that guy, but was going to call out something similar.  With our OF situation, Leury should never be on the bench against a LHP.
