Heyman: Sox interested in someone on some team. Nightengale: *nods*

Late night Boob Bomb on my birthday?

Hopefully it's something small like the Escobar for Luis Gonzalez mock that someone (Sox Machine?) threw out recently.

  • Nobody believes that. You'd be complaining about the lack of prospects or whatever part of the team that was lowest performing.  If you were dating Kate Upton you'd be complaining about the fact

Man, Josh Nelson has some really bad takes on Twitter.

Been following for a while.  I know the foodies and NSC get crap,  but they usually have smoke… plus Bob may always be wrong about the league, but he’s always right about the Sox.

Lol OK Steve

Fair enough.  But writing was on the wall for this one.  Hopefully wheels are in motion and the next month is a big one!

Portillo's guy deleted his tweet.

"One way, or another, Jimmy Lambert will be in the news tomorrow"

They can only have one player with a similar name in franchise history, haha.

Hey man, the White Sox used to have a guy named Eduardo Escobar play for them too, so it's only fair. ?

Someone should make a thread about that, maybe Hahn will get the idea.

Your insistence that the Sox haven't begun seeking trades is strange. So hellbent on something you have zero proof of. Weird.

Lambert is fair.  Luis Gonzalez is a bit more than a bag of balls but not much more.  He could be the second piece in the deal if the DBacks wanted to use a roster spot on him.

Funny how Nightengale basically broke a trade while also talking about how the Diamondbacks snapped their 24 game road losing streak.

Is this really happening?

Its going to suck when no such trade actually goes through.  It's been light-years in trade rumor time and nothing from anyone else.  Feels like a plant.

Now it's just a matter of waiting for Rosenthal/Passan/etc. to be like that security guard and come take the popcorn away.  "Escobar to Sox isn't close" etc.

What an odd tweet from Bob. Would love to see something happen. This team needs a boost.

This is like the Sale to Nationals smoke…which ended up in Red Sox upping offer and closing the actual deal.

I think Sox get Frazier soon…

That would be the ultimate overpay guy right now.

The reality is that Escobar seems so obvious to everyone it seems like an impossibility the teams aren’t talking.

He had a huge night at the plate, they broke their historic road losing streak and now they can make fun of the Rockies for being even worse, 6-30 on the road.

Trade speculation certainly was more exciting when KW was General Manager.

It would be more exciting if JR would have named me the GM.

Escobar was pulled late last night despite being 4/5 with five RBIs.  When combined with Nightengale’s tweet it seems like this is going to happen as some point today, just curious what the price will end of being.  I’m not sure where the Lambert speculation came from, but he did miss his scheduled start last night, so I can see why people are throwing his name around.  That being said, it’s also possible (more likely IMO) that the Sox are simply calling him up to pitch today.

I know Bob is just a mouthpiece and all but I feel like he's laying it on a little thick with that one. Fully expecting Escobar to get traded to someone else now.

Want to say I saw a tweet last night suggesting Lambert would be the 27th man today.

What a hilarious way for Bob to break a trade. Only Bob.

Escobar adds some much needed pop to our lineup but we need to keep adding. Get an impact RF too please.

Uhhhhh

Uhhhh hello Bob are you there?

Where did Nightengale say he was getting traded?  Because he said "departed"? He was taken out of a blowout game.

He didn't exactly say it, but I think the "and soon on his way from the #Dbacks to the #WhiteSox" part is essentially saying it without actually having said it.

Ok. I'm on my first cup of coffee.
