It's July 18th,  Kopech has 36.1 IP and Crochet has 27.1 IP. That's asinine.

Why in the world, would we bring Liam in? Bullpen usage is a nonstop head scratcher, even when other things make sense.

I don't mind Liam in. Astros are a tough team regardless on what you think of them. Bury them while their down. 

There's the very distinct possibility they're using bullpen and side sessions as well. 

 

You can level a lot of criticisms at the Sox. I think they are fully aware of what Michael is.

It would have been easy to guarantee him an inning tomorrow, likely 2. If you're going to burn Kopech I'll never understand using him for just 1 inning.

Fully agree.  There is still time, but as each day passes it just seems like they want to keep him a high leverage, 1 or 2 inning reliever role.

Not miserable... trying to field the best team possible come October. Im sorry some fans live game to game like that matters. This season has and always was about getting Kopech ready to be a starter for October and next season. Especially if you are going to lose Rodon as a FA.
