The problem recently is that he's not getting a lot of pitches to hit that way. Pitchers are just trying to jam him high and inside and he always swings at it. 

Bubic is literally the kind of guy that Jose's supposed to hit.

I always say this about when he gets HBP but Abreu grounds into his 18384747 double play of the season.

Bubic looked like he was ready to walk the whole lineup and we got nothing out of it after the HR. 

I would not have guessed Abreu would be approaching a .240 BA, going into August.

Surprising to me Abreu is #4 in baseball for total RBIs. It feels like he’s been slumping most of the season. Could just be recency bias. Really hoping we’re in for the annual August resurgence once again tho

He's been batting 3rd or 4th in a lineup that's top 5 in runs scored. Of course he's going to have a lot of RBIs.
