August 13, 20214 yr That was easily Liam's worst game in 3 years. He had said leading up to this that he hoped he doesn't give up the first homer in Iowa. I think also he said as long as it's not a tying homer, it's ok. Well, it appears that kind of mindset isn't real helpful to a closer. I'll chalk it up to him being a little off this game, but we really should think about trying Kimbrel in the closer's role to see if he gets some of his velocity back. He just doesn't have the it factor in the 8th it seems.
