Just so everyone knows, there will be no games in Detroit or Cleveland on Wednesday.

  • Tigers are probably the better team right now, and their Manager is definitely better.  Fry in there late with game on the line is nuts.

They are currently doing mass Rock/Paper/Scissors to see who wakes up Tony.

Problem #1, listening to the Score.

And lately Tony has been using days off to get starters extra rest, so this would be a change, even with that included.

God I sure hope we don't start bitching about Tony running out *good* lineups.

fucking finally.

Would very much like if Hernández plays like the guy we always faced instead of the guy we thought he should have been replacing, especially since the guy we thought he should have been replacing has been tearing it up

Bernstein on the Score this morning was giddy talking about the Sox being in "crisis mode."  Not sure about that.  A nice blowout win would calm a lot of nerves.

So game number 4 with "the big six" playing together?  Let's try to improve on that 11.3 run average.

Their win against the RH starter Keegan Thompson was most impressive of the three.

Opponent / Starter

  • 8/27 vs. Cubs (RHP Keegan Thompson)
  • 9/14 vs. Los Angeles (LHP Packy Naughton)
  • 9/17 @ Texas (LHP Taylor Hearn)
  • ??? 9/21 @ Detroit (LHP Tyler Alexander)

I just don’t share the concern. Their plan is to be as healthy as possible on Oct 7. These are glorified spring training games. When the season ends, they’ll get two days of workouts in Houston, and by the time first pitch comes that Thursday, the second half coasting will be a faded memory for most.

He was probably still upset they didn't trade Cease for Joc Pederson

Bernstein has some thing about how they are handling Kimbrel.  The only concern at this point is Rodon and health everything else is bullshit crybaby nonsense.

Potential Clinch Day!

Keuchel vs Alexander

In case you weren't already aware, this game got moved up from 5:40 to 12:10 due to rain on the way (the rain that we're getting right now)

If the Sox win, I wonder if NBCSC will be on the air live from the team hotel at/near the end of the KC/CLE game (5:10 start)? Would be fun to see Jason/Steve live on the air at the clinching moment.

???

They barely had money to send them out there for the Final road trips.

I was at the 2005 clincher, also a day game in Detroit. It was glorious.

If you follow Bernsetin his whole career, you'd realize chaos gives that pervert mental masturbation.

Fuck that guy.

We had a pretty good crisis in 2005 maybe we can repeat that path. ?

Good news on the Sox pregame show, Chris Bassitt is targeted to start Thursday. Glad to see such a quick recovery after that tragic play.

Hmmm. Remind me where we clinched again that year?  Was it........

TBH, I kind of feel this way.  Two wins in a row and fuck what the Tribe does.

The thing is, I haven't had a problem with main players getting rested.

Don’t trust the future radar. They’ll play.

Best lineup of position players of the season.  Let’s clinch with our best and not back into the playoffs.

Listening to any talk radio, really.

And when Oct 7 arrives, do we assume everyone in the lineup who has had significant rest will be ready to face ML pitching? These guys need some consistent ab’s. Rotate DH if need be. The second half coasting will only be a distant memory if they make it out of the 1st round. Otherwise, the excessive resting will be a convenient excuse. In addition to the botched deadline

Yeah, I don't disagree about the quality of sports talk radio.  But the Score is on whether you listen to it or not, and it still both influences and reflects the Chicago sports fan Zeitgeist.  I check in on it for that reason.
