Good test here against a good pitcher.  Hope the bats can show up again - lets take this mini-series.

There is a very high chance of a significant Mike Wright presence in this one.

I would hope the pitching is a dress rehearsal for the playoff game, with people playing their same roles

Yeah, with a day off tomorrow I don't really see the need to punt this game with Mike Wright.  Guess it depends on how long Rodon can go. If Carlos can only got 2-3, probably unavoidable.  

Truth be told, if Wright pitches in this game, just jettison his ass off the roster tonight and bring in a fresh arm for the weekend.  Dude sucks.

My feeling is MW will never pitch for the Sox again. Walking that guy on a 3-2 pitch with a pitch that missed by 2 feet, and then 

plunking the next guy sealed his fate. 5-6 years in the Bigs, and never so much as just a so-so season. We could have used his spot

with an organization guy like Kyle Kubat, and not have done worse than this joker.

Last night was the first time I saw beer vendors in the stands all season.

Tonight will be my last in person game of the year unless I can get tix to the World Series....good news is that I reserved my seat on the couch the day after they clinched and my wife charged no fees!!!

Sox going with the full lineup today. I would have liked Jose to get a day off, but whatever. 

Reds are playing their B lineup, no Castellanos or Votto. 

Methinks this is playoffs lineup, with Gio pitching

There's a day off tomorrow, and the full lineup needs to get a few games in together.

This is as close to my preferred lineup as I think we'll get.  I'd put Eloy at DH and Vaughn in LF, but it ain't happening at this point.

They should really get Vaughn some ABs the whole weekend, try to see if he can get out of his slump in time for the playoffs.

Yah.  IMO, Vaughn should be playing everyday.  But hard to sit Gavin right now I guess.  

Gavin and Vaughn will platoon at DH in the playoffs.   

Leury and Engel in RF.

I think Cesar gets a shot at 2B.
