Engel should start. Engel and Robert are as good as it gets between RF and CF and defense is huge in a tight game. Love the lineup.

Lefties are better at holding runners so we have that.  

I really thought Cesar would be there as a left handed bat.  I like the defense.

He just looked shaky over there when I saw him, but I've been wrong before.  Do love the lineup.

Sheets has pretty poor defensive marks. Jose is somehow more spry.

Playoff baseball. Pitching, defense, play for a run at a time. Make McCullers throw strikes, hit his mistakes. Hopefully the young guys are ready for the moment. Remember last years playoffs there were no fans. This place is going to be nuts today.

They have a poor record against  McCullers.

Eye test when Sheets had played 1B is…….not good. Jose a MUCH better option. Is what it is tho. Let’s get it!

At the very least they've got to find a way to make him work. Both games this year he threw 94 pitches, one of them he lasted 6, one of them he lasted 7.

I agree. I hope the Sox game plan today is to really work the count. Lay off his best pitches and hit his mistakes. Every base runner is at a premium in these playoff games. A walk is as good as a hit is never more true than in these games.

McCullers is gonna really take advantage of these guys aggressiveness I think, you gotta know when to trust the count and not your eyes. his slider looks like the fast ball almost exactly.

How TA goes this team goes. I would love to see him really make McCullers work in his first at bat. Set the tone.

Sadly Cease had a great game vs houston on 7/16 before tiring out and a bullpen collapse. But yeah we didn't do much after starting game with a double and single.
