Grandal slowed down on that run to 1st.  So glad the athletes are going all out in a playoff series.  Christ.

His WAR will increase though

Imagine being a manager and knowing you have 5 fresh relievers and 1 who hasn't been successful on back to back and pitched yesterday and say to yourself, let's go get the former in the biggest moment

We can still win this series. We just have to score more runs than Houston and you can take that to the bank

  • Let’s GO! Lots of pressure on Houston. They need to win one of the next three if they want to force a game 5.

Is this June or October, I cant tell, We look like we did when Houston tomahawked us......

Dudes terrible at defending, calls a shit game, and shits the bed in the playoffs.

This team is just allergic to hitting with men on

We knew these road games would be tough. Sox need to scratch out a win today somehow. I'm gonna be sad/miffed if Sox keep up this horrid play on the road. 0-2 is insurmountable

But it's all about the lack of moves to better RF And 2B.

The stars are sucking,  that's  the problem.

And this is what people don’t get about why they should have gone for HFA more. The energy from the crowd helps a lot of these Sox players.

Unbelievable offensive display. I do not want to be Captain Obvious here but these hitters need to step up now

Abreu blew the inning

Bases loaded 1 out, 1 run

First and second 0 outs, 0 runs

Astros get a guy on and they just will them home. So frustrating

Nice but they'll be fodder for the Rays

Check their regular season stats and compare hem against other teams when hitting in RISP. They were one of the best.

Well, this is going swimmingly.

Starting to feel like a voyage on the Titanic at this point.

It's no surprise that the lack of clean, crisp play comes back to bite you against experienced teams on the road in the playoffs.

I don't really know why Grandal is hitting clean up

Jose calls the shots, wants the best hitter possible for protection. Doesn't matter if he is sick and should be sitting, he does what he wants and Tony jokes about it.

Waiting for a manager to lead this team, hopefully they will hire one before the window closes.

He had a 1229 OPS for the Sox in the playoffs last year lol

You people are amazing.

Wonder what that average was against .500+ teams, though.

This team won't operate in any sensible fashion until JR is dead.  You know it, I know it, we all know it.

So far this is looking like an offense that can't compete at a high level. No power, bad at-bats, poor situational hitting, chasing borderline/bad pitches.

Cumulatively that might be true, but down the stretch they were pretty awful.

Career .577 entering today.

But they are rested.

So much for the HOFBP leading them to the promised land.

WTF does that have to do with how he has played for us? I couldn't care less about what he did in the post-season when he was 26 years old for the Dodgers.

Giolito trying to K every batter. Racking up a lot of pitches.
