Can't tell you how exciting it was for me to see a white sox players name in a writers tweet.

Can't wait for this to resolve ?

Good for Dylan though. He seems like a guy who will enjoy Boras' metaphors.

Welp- go get em kid.

Yes. At least you know it will be a zoo once they agree to things. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Can't wait for Boras to announce that they either agreed to a deal or are done with the Sox by saying they have ceased negotiations.

I can't wait for the 50 page binder explaining how Dylan has HOF untapped potential and is the next Max Scherzer once he signs a big contract.

so much for the hometown discount.

Better make sure you get Giolito locked up

Eh, I think the Boras thing is a thing of the past. He won't get a "Home town discount" or anything like that, but I don't think him signing with Boras means he's gone. I'm hoping he stays and takes yet another step forward. He's right on the cusp of at least being considered a top of the rotation guy IMO.

I mean he does, so yeah.

Interesting timing with 4 years of control left.

I'd at least be interested in hearing what kind of extensions the Sox might be floating over the next 2 or so years.

So it won't be long before he Cease's to be a White Sox.

Well that’s some shitty news

Eh.  We have signed Boras client in the past and will likely continue to do so.  It really doesn't mean that much in the long term.

This was a fear of mine. Cease has the best stuff on the staff IMO.

So the only Boras pitcher I can think of who extended before FA was Strasburg, he signed a 7/$175 deal with a couple opt outs.

Hard to see Cease not taking a direct path to FA.

The timing makes me think he is seeking or weighing an early extension. If Cease expected to go through arbitration the cost of Boris doesn’t seem worth it. How often are we actually surprised by the results of arbitration? We don’t know the details of Cease’s deal with Boris but unless Boris is cheaper during arb years and only expensive when a player is a UFA then I think this is about extension talks

The players LOVE Boras.  He has all the power.

The owners are making too much money. The sport needs more agents like Boras.
