Stanton played 26 games in the outfield last year. He's closing in on becoming a full-time DH at some point in the near future.

Kimbrel on his best days couldn't have made up for the fatigue in Rodon's arm and the Lynn, Gio, Cease implosions in the playoffs. Kopech, Bummer and Hendriks didn't exactly light the world on fire either in the playoffs

Kopech's usage was insanity done by a madman, but he was able to stanch the bleeding in game 3.

Bummer was desperate for a defender being in the right position.

The thing that sucks is when the Sox were bad they weren't signing the better players. They either came up short or were not involved. Obviously it's still early, but now they are good, but flawed, and still there is nothing to get excited about in the rumor mill.
