I think Tony "walks away" if the Sox win the WS or don't make the playoffs. I think losing in the playoffs makes it probably better than 50/50 he returns, although why they would bring him back is really silly. It's silly enough he's still there.

He floated it weeks beforehand and we all thought it was the craziest notion. Then others picked it up and our long suffering nightmare began.

June 4, 20223 yr More and more this just does not look like the Sox' year. Of course I hope for a 2nd half of dominance like in '83. I also remind myself that Atlanta surged last season after a poor start and won it all (although to be honest I don't convince myself of that one). If I knew LaRussa would be gone if they don't make the postseason I guess I'd be somewhat ok and chalk it up as a lost season. However, I don't think they'll ever fire him a 2nd time so I just have to keep looking for that light at the end of the tunnel.....someone please tell me it's not a train.
