The OBP of the options are: Mendick .310 Engel .308 Pollock .246 Harrison .245 Garcia .200 Moncada .175 If you think over whatever period of time TA is out one of these others will do better than Mendick, I wouldn't disagree, but if you look at the numbers right now he's the least bad option. You want to hit the guy with a career MiLB OBP of .299 in the lead off spot because he has a .310 OBP in 30 PAs this season in MLB. Put him there and have him DH to limit his workload and play him every day. Moncada as well until he pulls something again climbing the dugout steps....this is assuming the quad injury is not season ending because of the ground out Sunday.
