just DFA Abreu at this point so Vaughn can play 1B and we can have a proper OF of Pollock - Robert - Engel with Sheets at DH.  I'm not joking.

Stopping the losing streak today is pretty damn important.  Cease has been very good, and I would expect him to keep the Royals from scoring much.  So, if the offense wakes up, the Sox should take this one.

Hopefully

Prayers

For the love of god...

If the White Sox lose but no one is there to see it....did it really happen?

I withdraw that argument if they actually Win today.

This one feels like a game where Cease pitches a gem, the offense is absent again, and some fuck up in the field leads to a close loss late on a cold & miserable afternoon.

Prove me wrong please White Sox.

Which is greater today

Sox errors or Sox runs

Greinke is going to throw off-speed stuff all afternoon and chilly White Sox will swing away and away and away

Anderson and Abreu will bobble a few and the song will remain the same.

They will win eventually but they will lose more.

I'm not sure a team could be more fundamentally bad and baseball stupid.

I will settle for a well-played game, win or lose. It would be nice to see no errors, no dumb baserunning, and some timely hitting. It would also be nice to see no strange decisions coming out of the dugout. Let's take some baby steps here and have the team get out of the mindset it is in.

Sox will win today. If not, it's officially toaster bath time.

Hard to be officially anything under 20 games into the season.

But the hole needs to stop getting deeper in a hurry, that's for sure.

Cease needs a good old fashioned minimum quality start, with no unearned runs. If that happens, we may win a baseball game.

C'mon White Sox.  Let's have some energy and win and damn ballgame.....

Sure but the White Sox just went through 5% of their season without winning a game.

Still no Robert.  Have to assume he had some minor set back as it sounded pretty certain yeseterday he'd be in there today.  Need him back in the lineup.

Afraid of him re-aggravating it in the colder weather, arguably.

Wait.. 2 games in a row with no Leury? Larussa has been overturned.

Oof, that defense, gonna need Ks

Leury is locked in a broom closet

If this brutal early losing streak leads to Tony getting his wings clipped early in the season then it was worth it.  I'll believe it when I see it though.
