  • Just not an overly talented team this year compared to the top teams. Blame Hahn for a horrible offseason.

If this organization was serious about building a contender, Bryce Harper would be their RFer.

What a play by Timmy!

TA with one of the best defensive plays any Sox player will have all year

wow

Full strength for us would include Vaughn and Eloy.

Even then, with the free fall regressions in Abreu, Grandal, and Pollock....I don't see our offense ever being able to go toe to toe with the Yankees or Astros.

This season wil be remembered for the offseason. What a waste

The trade deadline last year planted the seeds for a disastrous off-season

Turned off the game and checked the box score.  Stanton and Judge with home runs again, huh?  Of course.

They should have added someone other than Velazquez to get the caliber pitcher of Rodon. Don’t give me that shit that Kopech replaced Rodon, a team that cared about winning would have replaced someone of Rodon’s caliber. Especially if he makes it through the regular season and playoffs.

You mean like replaced Rodon with Rodon because pitcher's of his caliber actually usually go for a lot more than Rodon did because of that injury history. They had a chance at a bargain and they decided "Nope we don't even want the draft pick and someone can sign him for whatever it takes to get him without the draft pick attached." Hahn working for the other 29 teams.

You forgot Goodwin.

I was going with Plan A entering the season (or in 2022 after the Detroit game when it was clear Pollock has no business in RF).

Jake Lamb was my personal favorite.

Imagine all of the good prospects they'll get for Luis Robert ?

He can be our Chris Sale to headline this rebuild.

The Yankees power hitters make this look like a little league stadium

Hear that?

That is the sound of Vince Velasquez coming back to his reality.

Somewhere Rodon is laughing at Reinsdorf and Hahn.

Talent level between teams offensively is staggering

Way to move the goal posts.

There were no goal posts.

I said what I expected to have with our limited budget and future commitments.

But sure I'd like to have Machado at third, Rodon, Harper and Moncada playing GG defense at second base.

I try to live in a non fantasy world.

We just had one meeting with Boras and Harper in Vegas just to feign interest for the sake of season ticket sales.  And we all know the Machado deal had a poison pill just like the one recently tendered to Gio. It looks good to non sophisticated fans, but it was never going to be accepted ultimately.

They will feed you a bunch of BS

Talent level is debateable, the difference in production is not.

This rebuild

This team

Was fucked the day they hired TLR

With Reinsdorf in charge I'm not surprised with this mess. Just disappointed and disgusted!

I’ve seen enough Josh Harrison for a lifetime.  ENOUGH!

Seriously, they have to DFA him by the end of this month, unless he gets a few hits.  Fat chance.

This team is only competing to win the worst division in baseball. That is their ceiling. That is reality.

Or maybe we overrated our core talent?

At least, as things stand right now, the Sox won't have to face Cole again next weekend

Jimenez and Madrigal sure.  Moncada jury is still out on.  Vaughn and Robert look fine.  Pitching looks fine.  It's all the veteran crappiness that Hahn has surrounded it with.
