Let's all keep following these dumbass WAR stats and all the sabermetric BS.  Moncada sucks ass.  WAR is not going to point out his half ass effort throw there that caused a 2 run HR thereafter.

Or is WAR going to penalize Robert for not running out a dropped 3rd strike, with a speedy runner on 2B who could take 3rd with a throw to 1B or even perhaps cause a wild throw down the line?  Th

tie game with a dogshit royals team to get back to .500 and Sousa is pitching critical outs. Is to laugh.

Throw the 1-2 slider to the young lefty.  Just dumb pitch selection

Robert isn't living up to it either. Where's the power from him?

Just like Moncada, he might peak at 25 HR.

No no no. Still on pace for over thirty considering time missed, weather and humidor impact.

He’s looked like total crap ever since ST started.  Something is wrong physically or mentally.

Long Covid.  Doesn't affect anyone while in Charlotte though.

His per 162 average is 31 homers 152 games into his career.  He has a career wRC+ is 131.  He's already an elite hitter, and that includes large stretches where he looked absolutely helpless at hte plate.  Robert can be frustrating to watch at times, but his peak is still best player in the game and he's still far from a finished product.  As usual, get a grip on reality.

And he actually has been running quite a bit this year.

Rivero must have a cannon.

Doesn't matter. The possibility of the catcher throwing through in that situation is slim unless he wants Tim to steal home. Plus maybe the 2nd baseman covers 2nd and that ball goes through for a hit then and it's 1 st and 3rd , another run home and still 1 out.

oblique's linger all season, right? That is my guess.

I really hope Abreu doesnt get offered a contract to stay on this team

It's more likely he doesn't survive the season at this point.

Given that he's probably going to play 150 games he's on pace for exactly 25

We will find out with Scherzer.

Players typically play 150 games or fewer and some quick math has him on pace for 25 HR right now.

(5HR/30GP)*150=25

Let's not get fooled again here.

He hit two absolute blasts last week with no oblique issue or COVID holding him back.

He is what we see, not a superstar.   Average to Good ML ballplayer.

classic hallmark of a mediocre team -- not taking the lead in the top of the inning and potentially allowing KC to retake it in the bottom side. classic mediocre team shit.

You said his “peak” is 25 homers. He’s already comfortably beat that 150 games into his career while learning to hit mlb pitching. So it’s not his peak, you’re just being negative; per usual.

2nd pitch was the perfect time for Robert to run. The pitcher didnt even look at him. If you cant run Robert on 1st and 3rd with Tim on 3rd and Abreu up when are you going to run him ?

Exactly, but it's Tony's strategy to rest his legs for October.

Let's hold our horses until he actually does it.

Way too much projection going on.

I've been guilty of projecting young players myself. No more.

This isn’t likely at all.

Chicago summer heat and wind blowing out?

Detroit rotation in shambles?

Your assumption is based on even distribution when that is highly unlikely.
