They brought in guys from the outside, hired a competent head coach and started building a team that at least makes a little sense. I’m sure the same can be done with Sox

Absolutely Kenny needs to go, he's part of the static situation with the front office. As long as you remain loyal you have a job with little to no accountability.

August 20, 20223 yr I'd love to know whose decision it was for him to come out last night. If training staff, your extreme caution in every aspect of player health has hamstrung this team all season. If Eloy, grow a pair, dude. Learn to play with pain. You're a professional athlete...you're going to deal with pain throughout a season and continue to play.

I've really never seen so many indications that a training staff is completely fucking incompetent in all my years watching sports. Ever. In any sport. Red flag after red flag. There's nothing they do that instills any confidence whatsoever. They seemingly botch EVERYTHING. Too cautious in some instances. Too nonchalant in other situations. Guys "day to day" who end up on the IL 8 days later... Guys who come back from surgery and are immediately back on the IL. Guys reinjuring the same thing immediately after coming back. All the soft tissue injuries, that speak to training the wrong way, and not incorporating enough flexibility training. It's fucking absurd....

It's fucking absurd.... Can't disagree with your points. It would have really been interesting to hear/read the results of the Sox off season study that Hahn talked about in November concerning injuries. But they never made it public. All I know is that Alan Thomas left because he disagreed with the results and the Sox placed an ad for a "bio-mechanics" specialist. This has been an issue really at all levels since around 2016.
August 21, 20223 yr Sox should spend money wisely. And having THE BEST training staff and medical staff is vital for teams who traditionally do not offer players enuf cash to attract the best free agents. The fact the Sox have so many injuries is very very sad to witness as a fan. It makes u wonder if the trainers are excellent or not. Maybe they are fine. I hope so.
August 21, 20223 yr If Eloy hadn't almost died last evening, that last ball he hit tonight would've been gone. He will be stronger by tomorrow.
August 21, 20223 yr How about we stop sitting on the man give him some props for playing tonight I'm sure non of your jabronis has had a sprained knee and then come back next day to play professional sports

I read last month, I think it was, where Eloy has missed something like 48% of all games that he was eligible to play in. That's a lot of missed time and he's been on the IL for injuries (many of which were caused by his poor decisions in the outfield) more than a handful of times.

Lmao. He twisted his knee a little bit because he....swung too hard. Plenty of guys who don't make millions of dollars a year to not work, and play a game, have played through much, much worse "injuries" in every sport around the world. I know fucking beer leaguers who are harder to knock out of the lineup than 90% of White Sox players. Give me a break. These guys are either made of fucking glass, or softer than baby shit. Neither is really acceptable for a professional athlete.
August 21, 20223 yr I find it amusing the amount of injuries in baseball these days. It is a mystery.

The problem is Reinsdorf has to drop his arrogant and stubborn owner responsibilities about the need to be fully in charge. He was willing to back away and let his son Michael run the Bulls and he has done a great job. Jerry needs to do the same with the Sox, but it probably won't happen because of his demented arrogance.
