How about let’s have a first inning that does not exceed 17 pitches?

  • My mother in laws 90th birthday party is today. I will be spending four hours with approximately 75 octogenarians and I feel sorry for y'all who will watch this shitfest.

  • Of course, Tony manages like a gigantic pussy

  • I blame Hahn for not having a real fucking right fielder on the roster.

Sox getting a gift.

Pilkington is schedule for Game 2. normally would be Plesac or Civale, although Cy has been pretty darned bad this year.

https://www.si.com/mlb/guardians/opinion/is-there-some-hostility-growing-between-the-guardians-and-white-sox

“Last night, three Guardians players were hit by pitches from the Chicago White Sox. The first two against Andres Gimenez and Steven Kwan seemed to get brushed off. But by the time All-Star Jose Ramirez took one, Tito seemed to have had enough.

This may not be an isolated event though. These teams seem to have some bad blood growing between one another dating all the way back to the beginning of last year.”

Of course, there was the Eaton slide into Andres Gimenez in 2021 (see video embedded in story)…last night’s HBP of Abreu and Jimenez…Naylor’s emotional theatrics, etc.

The Sox need to take 2 today

Who does TLR rest today even though they just had 4 days off ?

Lefty pilkington starting game 2 should be a free win. Would like to see Sheets+Grandal in this first line-up although may have to get creative with the positions.

Who is pitching our second game?  Prefer Cease to assure a win and not roll the dice against Bieber on Sunday.

The way our luck is, we drop both ends and get smoked in an on field brawl

Lynn game 2

This team can't be considered a real contender until it gets over .500 and stays there.

Wow that sucks.  If we lose first game we must go to Cease.

Should go Vaughn-Leury-Sheets in the OF to embrace the terribleness. With a contact pitcher, what could go wrong

I know we're all frustrated in this team and I don't see this happening but something to give us some hope is this....Last season, Atlanta’s very first day above .500 was…August 6!

As I stated in yesterday's thread, Friday's game was no doubt a bad and dismal start to this series with Cleveland. I always try to be positive but each loss just makes it that much tougher to do. I honestly thought the team would come out and play with intensity and determination but ugh, what a pitiful showing. I'm still hoping that they get things turned around and headed in the right direction, winning both games today would certainly be a start.

Valid point and it does give hope for the rest of the season but I agree, it's hard to see it happening.

That's not luck. That is deliberate and careful roster building and bringing in a HoF manager. You can't leave this shit up to bind luck. You need a well orchestrated  plan.

Nice lineup, my god

I was going to make a joke that he would rest Anderson when someone inquired but declined to as I don't think what TLR is doing is the least bit funny or logical.

TLR is resting players after the All star break to get them ready for a Sept. run is a mind bender.

Fucker isn't even trying.  At least they'll be well rested for winter vacation.

Josh leading off....oh boy here we go with TLR's brain cramps

Cueto must be thinking... 2 DH's playing the corner outfield positions....what did I do to deserve this?

It is really raining where I'm at now. Wonder if this game is going to be played today.

I love the lineup. Day game double header. Rest everyone the first game. We need to get five or six games below .500 for that amazing September win streak.
