So, if I heard La Russa right he said Graveman was all around the strike zone he just couldn't throw strikes. Huh?

LaRussa trying to sound like Yogi Berra.

  • Yet he still stays in the game. No wonder these assholes never learn, there’s no accountability unless you homer on a 3-0 pitch

  • Tim Anderson took that a bit too literally

Just ain’t happening. We’re stuck with this team and everything we hate about it.

Who said he almost got hospitalized

That’s the way the Rockies’ announcers were describing it.

And how they brought in extra oxygen tanks and water.  Even went with folk remedies like beets/beet juice trying everything to not be affected.  Has been an issue since the very first time he pitched there a decade ago, exacerbated by how hyped up he gets and the hyperventilating leading to obvious breathing issues.

He also said he has to take some kind of altitude sickness medication and that makes his fingers and toes go numb. Not great when you're a pitcher.

Right.  Only 70% feeling in extremities.

It’s hard to describe, but very uncomfortable.

Had similar situation first 24 hours in Tibet but was fine the following day.

About 30-40% are affected and its not really about fitness level or conditioning…

?.....I don't believe so but have the Sox had a walk-off win this year?

Yes, Leury had one for sure and same with Harrison

What the hell was with the pitch sequencing that whole inning? Why are we calling for sliders for the first 2 pitches in the count? The Rockies basically had no plan to swing at anything after the first walk.

Right on.  If we go down, we go down airing it out.  No nibbling, just go right at them. There is no defense for walks.

Robert walked off Chapman.

Leury walked off the Twins. Harrison walked off the Jays.

You have to place the blame on the manager, who has been enabling this type of behavior, lack of concentration, lack of fundamentals, lack of accountability his entire tenure. Actually both tenures with the White Sox.

Hawk Harrelson was right the first time, bring him back to fire Tony again. Hawk Harrelson cares more about White Sox baseball than JR, KH and TLR combined.

I would like to be in Hawk's living room while he's watching the Sox on TV, it can't be pretty.

The Sox can still win the ALC even with no reinforcements if they quit beating themselves.

Graveman is hurt too.

No way they can survive without Kelly Graveman and Lopez.

Also trade Pollock while he's hot for once.

Maybe change the name of the team to Chicago Hospital Sox and the logo to a Red Cross.

Everyone bitching about Ruiz, who should be pitching right now?

I mean fuck, 3 outs away from 2 GB. It’s definitely still there for the taking.

I agree with this. Too many games blown that they should’ve won. They need to start winning more of the close games and also play better against the division.

Starting to coming around to enjoying the ride with this group, because I know they won't do what I think they should (pull the plug and start over now) and instead will ride out this core through 2025. Hopefully Robert scratches the surface of his ceiling by then so they can trade him for a haul when it's over in 2-3 seasons. Plug isn't getting pulled until winter 24-25 at the earliest.

Gonna have to get rid of McGuire

Touche. I said beating, not beating off.

I will always laugh at a good McGuire whacking off joke.

Absolutely . the writing is on the wall . as much as i try to talk myself into a post season berth . .500 teams don't get to play there.

.500 will keep them in the hunt because the Twins and Cleveland are not that good either.

or giving the utility player a 3 year contract and outbidding nobody.

Hahn is so going to F up the deadline acquiring relievers.

What is the use of many more relievers when we have a bad outfield with poor defense and no everyday lefty, and a power outage team playing at homer friendly GRF.  We don’t score enough runs and most relievers are always in high leverage, close games late, situations.  IMO is like placing the cart before the horse.  Let’s beef up everyday position players so we can get more runs and not have to depend on relievers so much.

That depends on how you feel about the 2020 fake season.

The record books say the Sox are off the schneid, some people may feel differently.

Literally the only things the Sox have going for them right now are Mike Shirley and Marco Paddy. I like the direction those guys are going on the farm.

Too bad Hahn will trade all of those guys for mediocre or washed up relievers.

I wonder how you see it?  Oh right, the worst possible way.

We sure could have used both Robert and Eloy (second game) at Coors.  We had a major power outage and a clinic in hitting ground balls.

If the record books say 2020 counts, it counts.

This is the consequences of an over worked bullpen.

Graveman and Hendricks are also on a thread awaiting a serious arm injury.

Part of the problem is that our starters rarely go more than 6 innings.
