So if Grandal gets hurt how is the guy in AAA?

Well, he would be leading our team in HR and RBI's for starters.

  • Congrats to Seby. That is a hell of an accomplishment to keep at it and outright win a job like this. He’s improved a lot.

Glad this was Hahn’s only deadline move.  Imagine how much more damage he could have done trying to save this sinking ship.

  • Another $3 mill committed to bullpen next year.

When Diekman strikes out Soto to end Game 7, all will be forgiven.

We're assuming a bullpen acquisition the White Sox made is going to be usable, and not total fucking garbage like every single one before him? Weird.

Tepera was great last year. Liam has been very good the last two years. Graveman has been good this year. Not following you here.

And Kimbrel and Kelly were dogshit.

Kelly TBD, Kimbrel I agree but you said every single reliever acquisition has been garbage which clearly is false

A little confused by this.

McGuire was acquired as a minor upgrade to backup catcher. The org viewed Seby as an adequate back-up now (nobody considered him as such in the offseason), so McGuire became expendable.

Not sure how that constitutes a "failed" acquisition.

This is it in a nutshell.

Only 2 innings but this guy looks great.. looks like an Aaron Bummer replica.

I agree he has looked outstanding.  Obviously, the piece we needed.

Huge piece that finally gives them the ability to neutralize LHH. When healthy, I’m not sure there’s a deeper bullpen in the AL than the Sox.

The whole staff is rounding into form.

Rather get hot in August/September than May/June like last season.

We are very good.  Maybe not Yankee/Astro's good...but you never know what injuries and setbacks the other guys are having at playoff time.  Get to the playoffs and have momentum and a little luck.  Starting pitching will ultimately decide our fate and that is looking up lately.

I’ve been saying it for weeks. If Giolito and Lynn “get right”, this team coasts to a division title and becomes very dangerous in October. Big if but not unrealistic either.

Kopech is more likely to reach that playoff-caliber than Gio IMO.  Lynn is the must-get-it-together guy IMO.

Even the biggest cynic will have to admit he has looked really good in his two appearances.

I don’t think Diekman is as good as he looks now, and I don’t think he’s as bad as he’ll look when he inevitably has a few straight outings where he’s walking every other guy ?‍♂

So his name is somehow closer to Dickman than Dickman’s.  Sorry if this was already posted

Interesting split on Diekman.
