Hahn talking at 5:30

Rick Hahn, go fuck yourself pal. You are absolutely pitiful at your job and you've made the last 10 years miserable. Not that any of that matters though because you're loyal so you have a job for life. Maybe your spawn who probably frequents this board can pass along the message, douche

He’s surprised that a team led by a 80 year old who fell asleep in the first inning yesterday lost some of its swagger?

While I'm pissed they didn't go get a real difference-maker, premium assets for rentals was my top-level fear.  I'm "happier" standing pat than I would've been with worthless desperation moves.

  • Anyone gonna ask him why his fucking manager was sleeping in the dugout yesterday???? Anyone?? White sox media sucks

"I made six moves at the Trade Deadline. Stating I did nothing is simply not true. Fans don't have all of the information at our disposal."

I really hope so. And I'm glad we didn't get gallo

Hahn shouldn't have a job after this season.

Also, you could have added a premium prospect to the system if you didn’t make the asinine decision of not offering Rodon a QO

Was he ever asked about this?

If so, what was his response?

It probably went like this

RH: Jerry we have a deal in place to get us Jazz Chisholm

JR: Tony said he plays Leury at 2B

RH: Well we have another deal to land Joc Pederson

JR: Tony said he like to play Leury in RF

RH: Well what about Carlos Rodon to boost our rotation

JR: Tony said he has Leury lined up for that as well

RH:

One would have to hope the silver lining is this.  Rick knows this year is shot, that TLR walks at year end, and he gets a crack at a non-JR crony manager in the offseason.

That being said, they still coulda been favorites for this division with a couple moves.

How does he explain several players who would have improved the White Sox were traded for non premium prospects. And didn't the White Sox get it out there they were interested in Ohtani which certainly would have cost them almost all their so called premium prospects?

He should have been a seller, since his team is not a contender.

Frank Thomas up in a two minutes to discuss the deadline debacle.

I feel bad for Abreu. The guy wants to win a World Series so bad and he’s being led on.

This has almost becoming obvious after the deadline last year.

lmao what swagger? You can't have swagger when you can't hit.

First question: Did RickyGM actually say he made SIX moves and not none?

Second question: Was he implying that optioning guys and sending guys to rehab assignments counted as a deadline move?

I agree with you. To many guys having terrible seasons, this isn’t the year to push the chips in on rentals. I’d prefer they stand pat, reload during the off-season and hope a few of these guys bounce back and stay healthy.

Caveat is that I know they won’t really reload during the off-season. But still understanding how this terrible front office operates I’m not that upset with doing nothing at this deadline.

It was facetious, but I believe with all my heart he was thinking it and would have said it if he thought he could get away with it.

There are no excuses. He has a job, and he does it terribly.

There are 3 other people in the room though.

We're stating facts, not making excuses.

If Hahn is feckless(he is IMO) that's his choice to be a weasel and hide behind his bosses. More reason to fire his ass.

If he had any cojones he'd have resigned years ago.

Balta got one convert!

Is it me or does Kaplan seem to be a total douche?

And one truly wonders why a team with a sleeping manager wouldn't have a whole bunch of swagger...

One Top 100 Prospect was moved this week, and Juan Soto was traded.

It wasn't a "sellers market" in San Diego

It wasn't a "sellers market" in Minnesota.

It wasn't a "sellers market" in New York.

It wasn't a "sellers market" in Atlanta.

It wasn't a "sellers market" in Saint Louis.

Most here were underwhelmed by the returns of any of the top trade acquisitions beyond Luis Castillo.

Is he ripping on the Sox and still praising all things Cub-related?

Over hyping Robertson return?

Extolling upside of a full year in 2023 with Suzuki and Madrigal...unlimited financial flexibility this upcoming offseason in FA?

(Well, I guess the Cards and Brewers didn't improve much, either.)

Washington got a very good return on Soto.  Now they have to live up to their prospect billing.  Odds are they get at least 2 if not 3 very useful pieces out of those five.

Gore and CJ Abrams are already at the big league level, of course.
