All right, now we just need an on-side kick and  TD

All that for a split and no ground gained.  Can't wait to get scolded again for not being excited about this mediocrity.

  • This is a great call. Rick, if you're listening, you should absolutely cut a 27 year old that is owed 42 million over the next two seasons, this will greatly improve the Sox chances of winning a World

Early on offspeed, late on fastballs.  Garcia made some bad pitches that inning and no one can square him up.  The offense has sucked all series.

1 Training staff doesn't have players in shape

2 Hitting coach teaching all the wrong things

3 Alcoholic manager asleep at the wheel

4 GM unable/unwilling to do anything about 1-3

5 Owner who cares about everything except winning

I would add some players have gotten complacent and haven’t improved

4th time this series the Astros grab the lead first, right? Not a great recipe for success always having to come from behind.

It's an interesting strategy the Astros are employing.

Some of this is leaguewide. Manfred keeps messing with things — sticky stuff, changing the ball, humidors etc.  with next to no Spring to adjust, Sox right field heavy approach does not work with deadened ball.

Ha nice range Gavin…jeez

Cut the ball off eloy

Giolito looks the best he has in a long time.

Tons of missed bats

All the good teams manage to highlight this team's deficiencies. RF defense has been exposed multiple times. We're about to not hit a single home run over a 4 game series.

Giolito is a bum

And then lobbed the ball to Romy, who made a nice scoop

I miss the Tigers

Is this the inning that ends the game?

This team has trouble scoring more than 4 runs...so if they get these guys in it might be ggs again.

Yordan pulled a Yoan

Yordan pulling a Yoan

Sigh

I guess a split is fine, still will be 3 games back probably

Yeah keep throwing Bregman 2 fastballs in a row right down the middle. That'll work both times.

91 mph fastball down the plate, missing his spot. Maybe the worst pitch he’s thrown all year.

Why pitch to him

Like what is going on to throw such a slow fastball
