Giolito v Manning 

the have won 10 lost 3 since my September 5th comment that they need to go 21-7. i did not expect Cleveland gotting hot. Not sure if 21-7 or it would be 11-4 the rest of the season. It all depends on the Cleveland 5 game series with Minnesota. 

Hoping to witness a sweep this weekend.

But not the one people will expect from me.

Hoping the offense shows up tonight to cover for the 5 or so runs Gio inevitably gives up.  

It takes a lot of coincidences for the tigers to score 5 runs

Haha maybe they meet in the middle at 3?  2022 Giolito though can make even the most inept offences look semi competent at times.

They've scored 4 runs in their last 4 games.  Let's hope we can keep that trend in motion thru the weekend.

They’ve scored 5+ runs 8 times in the last month.

They were games against the Royals, Angels, and Rangers.

Theyre 7-1 in those games.

They are 3-2 when scoring 4 runs.

They are winless over the last month scoring 3 or fewer.

Need to circulate the memo to not let Javy Baez beat us.  He is about the only dangerous hitter in their lineup.

Agreed on the offense staying hot tonight. However Giolito needs to step up and pitch great tonight as well. The fact is, the next 2 starts for Gio will be arguably be his two biggest starts of this season and maybe even his career. We obviously need this win tonight from Gio and his next start next week, is the third and final game of the Cleveland series, which hopefully we have won the first two games with Cease and Lynn going.

If he gives up 2-3 in 5-6 innings, I'm good.

Remember on opening day when Lucas looked great and we all felt good.

Will his performance in these last starts have any bearing on his contract negotiations?

Might make him want to throw strikes.

Okay White Sox, let's take care of business with these Tigers and get the win. Only 3 games back with a little less than 3 weeks to go, the playoffs can certainly still be reached. Hopefully Cleveland loses a few games in a row so Chicago can be in a position to pick up some more ground.
