You and your facts

But seriously, they are averaging under 17,000 so far this season as the best team in baseball.  Spin it all you want, that ain't too great.  Better than their usual numbers though....averaged around 14,000 last season.

In a very sick way I'm kind of rooting for them to lose out the rest of the month and have it dip into the Twins series. I want to see how long they'll just let losses pile up before making some sort

This exact convo played out in the replies, but I also get what you're saying.

Their stadium is in an awful location. I'm trying to think of a Chicago equivalent. Maybe if the Sox played near Midway airport or some s%*#. The stadium itself we all know about, arguably the worst in pro sports.

4th in AL Central...?  While that is ugly enough, why not call them what they truly are...3rd worst in AL & baseball.

I just wish we were discussing attendance issues with a good team that was our own.  And that was fun, like we were sparring on Twitter.

Should I take it off my list of roadtrips to plan (flying actually)?  I thought Tampa might be nice to visit??  Plus I hate crowds.

There is no attendance issue if they are able to operate a consistently competitive franchise with those levels, which they are clearly are

Yeah Yoan isn’t going to do much this year, is he?

So Yoan needs surgery.

WBC of course was the cause most likely.  Also, wonder if the Sox blew the original diagnosis right before the season started.

Funny thing is he will end up top 5 in WAR this season for the Sox.  But yeah, this feels like the beginning of the end for his Sox career.

Actually, they're the 28th best team in baseball.

Posted this in minor league thread, but Montgomery continues to be out.  This time it’s a back strain.

That soft motherfucker.

Yoan's back issues are reminiscent if Joe Crede's back issues.

Tampa is a bit of a dump imo but Sarasota is awesome. I did a week on the beach there a few years ago as part of a family trip. Really enjoyed it and we went in the shoulder season in October and the weather was perfect and crowds not a problem.

Going for 8

At least the Sox only have to pay him for one more season after this one

That’s like picking the top 5 tallest midgets at this point.

Yeah but its a monster one. Its 1/3 of the highest contract we've ever given out!

Considering the likely non-contending roster they will have next year, it’s not that worrisome
