  • I’m gonna be there. I expect to leave early to beat traffic after Cease throws 90 pitches in 4 innings and gives up 5 runs (with a crushing 3 run homer by Stanton after it looked like he could get out

  • Just DFA him and move on

That's 3 wins in a row....can't we have some positive stats for once  Cuda!!!

The Yankees looked like the Sox tonight.  They were pitiful.

The FO is really doing him and the team a disservice at this point by not shutting him down and focusing on 2024. Would help on a lot of fronts.

Why is Shaw still in this game let alone on this team

Shaw surprisingly came through.  Yanks were terrible tonight which helped.

Yep they were abysmal with risp....I loved it.

Who needed Kelly, Middleton and Graveman when there's Honeywell, Ramsey and Shaw?

Sounds like two competing law firms.

I totally thought you meant that Rick Hahn was going to try to shut down Jay Cuda.

Moncada is so terrible against changeups

If this is only the pitch that he is so horrible against, I would be very happy.

Vaughn has been hitting well since the break, hoping this weekend springs him to consistent production from here out. (Last 14 days .848).

Tonight was probably Vaughn’s best game of the season.

Speaking of Vaughn, I thought I might put this in here.

He may have had a point with earlier calls but that one was in the zone. As a former umpire I’m glad that Diaz gave Boone s%*# back. That’s how I handled it when it came to arguments, especially when there was personal attacks. To your point, you can’t argue balls and strikes.

no offense because ive dealt with some good umpires

but laz diaz sucks

How is he not ejected yet? You can't argue balls and strikes.

i love boone... he was wrong on that particular pitch but diaz has always had no clue about the strike zone.

but he stands up for his players.... something i havent seen around here forever.

I hate to even put this out there, but I don't like this idea, but I wonder if he was involved in the Salvador Perez discussions.

That makes a bit is sense.

Not just this but look at the growth Riley Greene made this year

This is from Eric Cross, formerly of Fantrax:

“After the first game of a doubleheader on May 3rd, Greene was slashing .232/.292/.324 with a 31.7% strikeout rate and only four extra-base hits in 120 plate appearances. But since then, Greene has slashed .367/.433/.565 with 12 doubles, five home runs, and four steals in 164 plate appearances while dropping his strikeout rate to a more manageable 26.2%. For the season, Greene has improved his Quality of Contact metrics across the board and currently sits with a 10.2% barrel rate, 94.8 mph AVG EV, and 48.6% hard-hit rate. He also has a 78th percentile sprint speed and 90th percentile xBA.”

Did you end up not leaving early?

Stayed the whole time. Cease didn’t have that decisive blow I expected. Offense showed up well.

I was at the game as well. Lots of Yankee fans. Nice to see them shut up.

Shaw's stuff was moving.

Good catch. His stuff resembled Graveman’s, maybe a tick slower but with better control. Not gonna win you a pennant but okay for the here and now.

rosin, not to be confused with Al Rosen

They now believe they must go 32-17 to make the playoffs...a streak they haven't gone on all season long.
