The Sox currently have a roster filled with one player you'd pay to see. That is today's losing pitcher, Crochet.

Not one other player is worth paying to see. I include Robert and Eloy cause they are rarely healthy (even tho Robert made it thru last season OK). OK if you count him Sox have two players you'd pay to see. One pitcher and one everyday player. Do we realize how rare this is in baseball history? How can the commissioner allow this? The Sox should face some kind of penalty or the franchise should be contracted.

p.s. how dare Getz think Lopez, DeJong and Maldonado were acceptable options up the middle. Unacceptable. The outrage should be expressed daily.

The great thing about what happened to the Bears is that local and national media went after Nagy with torches and pitchforks at Halas hall. Not that Nagy wasn’t a scapegoat, because he was. But it took an angry mob to force wholesale change. It may not be possible to get wholesale change because in this case, While Reinsdorf is actually the problem, he is ownership also. But there literally needs to be an angry media and fanbase  mob after this guy like the city has never seen before.

Our run differential currently sits at -51 or -3.4 on a per game basis, which ranks dead last in the league and by wide margin.  For reference, the Marlins are the next worse team at -35 or -2.2 per game or ~35% less bad  than us.

The offense has scored 34 runs or 2.3 per game.  The lowest offensive output since the addition of the DH in the AL is the 2010 Mariners at 3.2 per game, which is ~40% higher than our current production.  I truly believe that this squad will challenge that record, even if the offenses can’t be this bad forever.

This team is terrible.  The ownership is weak. The decision to hire this  guy as GM was horrible.  The manager sucks.  The players are generally at the AA level.  Otherwise things are looking up on the southside.  

Things are really bad when the only speculation is how awful the team will be. This is not a MLB roster.

To avoid 120 losses they have to do better than 40-107 the rest of the way.  The way they look, that doesn’t seem achievable.

30-117 honestly doesn’t sound ludicrous for this group, and that would leave them with 130 losses.

It's ok to be awful, but it has to be part of the plan. Everyone was pretty much on board when the Sox traded away Sale and Eaton, because we had seen too much mediocre baseball, it wasn't working, and at least they had a vision and plan in mind for what they wanted to become. So we were ok watching really awful baseball for a few years because there was this baked in pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that it was all leading to something. 

This isn't that. No one knows what the plan is. The Sox owner said he didn't want to "waste a year" after going through "the most painful season of his life" last season. They are far worse than they were last season. 

If Getz met the media in January and said: "Listen, I didn't agree with a lot that went on here over the last decade. I respect Kenny and Rick a great deal, but this roster isn't anywhere close to where it needs to be. I know Sox fans want a winner and they deserve a winner, but as the roster currently stands, where not very close. So I've got a lot of work to do, and it's going to take us all, as a unit, some time to build this foundation the way we know it needs to be built. I'm going to be as transparent as possible with this fan base of what we're trying to do, and I hope in short order you're going to start seeing those results on the field. It's going to hurt for a while, but my only goal here is building a sustained winner for the Chicago White Sox. We owe the city that." 

You say that, and the attitude of this fan base changes a good deal, in my opinion. Obviously results will be the true test, but if we are talking about where we sit on April 15th, 2024...a simple level set last winter would have done this fan base a lot of service. But of course, that's not what they decided to do.

A big reason myself and so many fellow Sox fans I know are cheering on the embarrassment of this season is their attitude towards the fans. They truly think we are all morons. The Blackhawks came right out and told fans they were rebuilding, it would be tough, it would take time, and you can respect that, even if the team is terrible. The White Sox CONSISTENTLY feed their fanbase bullshit, and expect us to believe it. They don't try in good faith to be the best team they can, and then the team calls out the fans for not going to games and giving them money. 

I'm sick and tired of this piece of s%*# owner, his lies, his nepotism, his disdain for the fanbase, and his penny wise pound foolish approach to ownership.

This organization will need to EARN my fandom back by showing me they are serious about consistently winning this division, and contending for a championship. Until then? Get fucked.

Not everyone was on board with the Sale and Eaton trades. Some people recognized that the Rick Hahn/KW general managing duo would have little to zero chance of sustained success. They were chased away at the time by the Rick Hahn fanboys, but history has proven the Hahn "haters" correct. Letting Rick Hahn and KW architect the tank job and "rebuild" was such a colossal mistake.

As fans, it was the best option there was. It was either continue to watch a 76 win team on a regular basis not be able to get over the hump with guys like Abreu-Eaton-Sale-Q-Rodon on the roster, or start from scratch and try to build up a core. You are correct at that point the faith was lost in Rick and Kenny, they shouldn't have been employed at that point seeing as we were celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the 2005 team at that point, but given their seemingly lifetime contracts, it was the right move given the circumstances.

FGs projected standings somehow still have us for 61. I had a chance to grab -110 at under 60.5 (no phone gambling here gotta go to the book still) when I was at the casino for opening weekend of the tourney and it felt like a total sucker bet.

I'm starting to think that we'll be lucky to win 55. I should have teased it down to like 55 just for a reason to follow in case of an absolute dumpster fire. Whoops.
