  • This is now officially the longest amount of time the White Sox have held a lead this season.

  • Who cares?  The competitive balance of a professional fucking sports league?  Are you fucking serious.  Jesus Christ.

The word “competitive” shouldn’t be used in any sentence with the White Sox.

Lol. Bucknor is such dogshit.

Wow Bucknor just wow

"Player safety". It's a lot worse for Player safety to come out and play cold after a few hours (especially pitchers albeit I don't expect that to happen) then to play 1 batter out through rain.

The most important fact to draw from his tantrum is that he has near zero understanding of the actual sport.  Player side aside, conditions that bad, heavily favor the hitter.  Brebbia can lose his grip on a pitch and fire it into the backstop, the ball can skip off wet grass and a routine play becomes much more challenging, an outfielder has a near zero chance on a play at the plate on a single, an infielder can slip in the mud trying to range laterally, a ground ball can hit a puddle and come to a dead stop in the infield.  It was 100% in the Sox’ interest to stop the game.

lol that pitch was way worse than the one he didn't call a strike on 0-2

Who cares? Just play the game rather than delay it 2 hours for 2 pitches. Ridiculous.

It's an outside sport lol. There will be outside factors. You are complaining about a tantrum while going on a tantrum. This team is 20 games under .500. Just finish the game. Don't make us wait 2-3 hours.

No but…the Cardinals have been known to…maybe go on borderline ridiculous runs near the end of the season and if they end up winning the division by a game because of a fluke victory in dogshit conditions then it’s not okay.

Ok go ahead and pretend that the words heavy rain and standing water literally aren’t in the MLB rulebook.  I’m done with this conversation.

So sorry you were inconvenienced.

Some conditions are too bad to play in. I don’t know why this is hard to understand.

Who won?

Wouldn't that mean they at least took out the Cubs?

Why not? They’ve done it with guys like Leury and Keuchel and Grifol doesn’t make anywhere close to what those guys were

Add Keppinger  to the list but it doesn't fit the narrative so it can't be true around this place.

To be serious for a sec, what's the proper play on that ball hit to Ramos in the 10th?  Even if the throw home  is on target, do you risk a throw to first?  IMO what Ramos should have done is take a step toward  the runner on 3rd to force him to commit and if he returned to the base, throw to first, not second.  If Goldschmidt played by the book and headed home, start the rundown.  Either way, some ballsy pitching to get the win, thx CJ.

It was called Hurricane Getz and it left our team in ruins.

When you have teams like the Sox, Rockies and Marlins and a few others there is no such thing as competitive balance in MLB.

Somebody has to be in last place in every league in every year.

Wasn't watching the game but I saw the highlights this morning, and YES they absolutely should have called it and IMO before it even got to the last batter, Brebbia was tucking the ball between his legs to keep it dry.  Unsafe and I'm sure there was lightening strikes in the area also, and as others pointed out it was worse for the defense.

You can say the same thing if there are a couple of teams with really outstanding records.  No competitive balance.

Correct but these bums aren’t close to being competitive, all three could wind up being worse than the 1962 Mets who were an expansion team, at least they had an excuse.
